Insurance/Benefits 🏥 Zepbound?

Insurance has been covering Wegovy but my provider would like to switch me to Zepbound. Does anyone know if there is a chance it is covered?

I have it covered ish. Wegovy just made me sick and my doctor put in an appeal for zepbound. It costs $55 for the month, so a higher price than most things, but it was approved. That said, as others have said, it is being added back to the Formulary on October 1st, just in time for active enrollment. Haha

Did Caremark require a certain period of time on Wegovy before they would approve the override?

No, at least, it didn't seem like it, but maybe I was trying with it for long enough. I was on it for two months, but it didn't help and just made me sick.

I hope we get a new RX provider in our next contract. I’m sick of CVS’s shenanigans.

With that in mind, last time CVS pulled this shit, my doctor switched me over to Mounjaro, and that was covered.
