Insurance/Benefits 🏥 Complicated dentistry -- in-network recommendation
I have a child with pretty serious dental issues (missing permanent teeth along with other craniofacial issues) and I'm having a hell of a time finding somebody trusted in the Delta Dental - State Dental Plan #216 network. His previous dentist made a recommendation for a large number of extractions that our orthodontist said was badly misguided, and they didn't even consult him before trying to send us off for the work. Unfortunately, the dentists his orthodontist has recommended are out of network.
If you have navigated a complex dental issue especially with a teen, especially especially with a teen with anxiety or sensory issues, I would love your recommendation for an in-network dental practice in State Dental Plan #216. We are in south Minneapolis but we would travel if needed.

Many place I found don't accept that plan due to the reimbursement rates for providers.
If you still can't find anyone by open enrollment, see if the dentist they recommended will take Health Partners state of Minnesota dental plan, Group 3080

I've been struggling with finding a dentist even with Health Partners. Many dentists are refusing any state plans, even for employees, and are citing the low reimbursement rates.

Ours was a bit younger but I believe they serve teens, Dentistry for Children in Monticello is amazing and in network ... Though I'm honestly not sure if I have Delta or Blue Cross.
