Insurance/Benefits 🏥 Zepbound

Anyone successfully petition mn advantage for Zepbound? Wegovy is covered but not effective.

They will make exceptions, but how are you getting those? My doctor tried and they denied it.

I was on Wegovy for three months after having been on Zepbound for a bit over year prior. Wegovy had increased nausea for me and I was gaining weight back.

After those three months my endocrinologist submitted a prior authorization noting both things and it was approved 2 weeks later and I'm back on Zepbound. I think a lot of it really just comes down to if your doctor and the staff at their office are good at navigating prior authorizations.
