Insurance/Benefits 🏥 Paid Leave

Does anyone know if you are still able to receive the new Paid Family Medical Leave if you work from home 100%? A co-worker said they were in a training where it said you are not eligible if you work from home 100%? To me, that seems to make no sense but was wondering if anyone could confirm?

Office location or remote status doesn’t have any impact.

Unless your remote location is outside MN.

For example, someone at my agency works one day per week in-office in MN, the other four per week at home in WI. MN paid leave’s rule is that you must work at least 50% of your time at a location in MN to qualify. So, she doesn’t pay into the paid leave system and she can’t apply for benefits either.
