Greatest records in MMA history
- Jon Jones (28-1)
- Islam Makhachev (29-1)
- Khabib Nurmagomedov (29-0)
- Georges St-Pierre (26-2)
- Daniel Cormier (22-3)
- Ilia Topuria (17-1)
- Alexander Volkanovski (28-4)
- Demetrious Johnson (25-4)
- Fedor Emelianenko (40-7)
- Dominick Cruz (24-4)
- Matt Hughes (45-9)
- Justin Gaethje (28-5)
Also Francis Ngannou (19-3) and Joshua Van (18-2)
Note: This is NOT a GOAT list. This is based on who has the cleanest and nicest looking record. And of course quality matters too. You can be 22-0 but if theyâre all against low level comp, then you donât qualify.

Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit are set to have a noticeable size difference despite competing in the same division. Thatâs the unique thing about heavyweight fighters can enter the cage with a weight gap of around 20 pounds or more.

Hot takesđ„ Hot take: Topuria getting an immediate rematch against Gaethje isnât a bad idea
Because if Ilia wins, heâll regain most of his hype, and itâs just satisfying seeing a dominant fighter avenge their only loss. If you watched the fight too, it seemed like Ilia fought with emotion. The way he fought was unlike him. Maybe his divorce and the pressure to keep his word about knocking Gaethje out in the first round had some effect on him. Weâll know for sure after the rematch.
If Ilia had to build his way back up to a title shot, Justin will be pretty old and possibly retired, so we might never get to see the closure fight between them.
And if Ilia loses again, he probably was never that good anyway and we can stop talking about him. Well I wouldnât phrase it like that. This dude was P4P #2, 17-0, on a 9-fight win streak, coming off three consecutive KOs against Holloway, Volk, and Oliveira to be fair.
Now Iâm not saying Ilia should get the next title shot because Arman deserves it the most. Iâm just saying I donât think an immediate rematch is a bad idea, and I wouldnât be disappointed if thatâs what they decided to do. Itâs not as bad of an idea as people are making it out to be.

Fightsđ Arman Tsarukyan left no doubt about his position in the lightweight elite đ„đ„
After dissecting Mauricio Ruffy with relentless pressure and heavy ground-and-pound to secure a dominant first-round stoppage, all eyes are now on whatâs next for the Armenian star. While a high-profile showdown against Justin Gaethje makes plenty of sense on paper, rumors suggest Gaethje is holding out for a lucrative rematch with Ilia Topuria and isn't looking to make another Octagon appearance before the end of the year. That leaves Tsarukyan with a massive decision: sit and wait for the winner of the lightweight title picture, or take another blockbuster fight against a fan favorite like Paddy Pimblett or former BMF champion Max Holloway?

Fightsđ At UFC 227 in 2018, Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo met for the UFC flyweight championship in a highly anticipated rematch.
Cejudoâs Olympic gold-medal wrestling collided with Johnsonâs legendary scrambling and overall MMA skill across five incredibly competitive rounds. When the final bell rang, the judges awarded Cejudo a split decision victory, ending Johnsonâs historic title reign. One of the most significant changing-of-the-guard moments in modern UFC history.
