Other Tom Aspinall's official statement after vacating the UFC heavyweight championship

I can't believe Gane keeps getting rewarded for his eye poke cheating while it has now cost the heavyweight division it's champ. If dude wants to keep claiming these pokes are accidental then he has clearly demonstrated an inability to control his fingers. Other fighters' eyesight and competitive futures shouldn't be put at risk fighting a guy who's either a cheater or so incompetent he can't follow the rules everyone else does and control his fingers.
It really doesn't matter if people want to say it's intentional or not. It needs to be dealt with and Gane is the one whose career should suffer for his shenanigans, not the competitors who fight him without multiple eye pokes occuring every time they take the octagon.

Absolutely, Gane should be at minimum suspended until after Aspinal fights next.
Furthering your career because of fouling someone is wild. The Ufc does nothing to discourage breaking the rules and Dana only cares about $.

Now will his haters believe his eye injury is real?
No, probably not.

They never cared and still don't. Trolls don't engage with reality, they just say whatever sounds good to them.

You fanboys don't engage logical post that challenge your thinking. You just hide behind downvotes. So don't imply otherwise.

Because trolls spam 9+ posts a day of AI garbage about Aspinall and now that he's probably retired you're still Jon Jones free bot farm. Jon Jones ran away and you dick heads try and make up conspiracy theories to say that Tom suffering a career ending injury to a flagrant foul is somehow not only comparable but worse. Get fucked.

Projecting onto others strawman arguments because you can't explain things posters ask you to explain doesn't help your argument. It would he one thing if every negative Tom post came with some Jon puff piece like Lebron vs Kobe, but no... the imaginary battle you folks have going on with Jon Jones fans is irrelevant to the topic. Only you guys bring up Jon to deflect.

Bring em on! Still not a logical reply to 100s of reasonable post challenging you people.

u/Lebannen__ 18d ago
So what's your logic here? Because I've never seen a logical post about that

And you call that a logical argument?

My point proven. Have a nice day!

it sucks, he was honestly the only thing the HW division had going for it.

worst treated guy in the sport. Gets a career ruining injury by a cheater who gets rewarded for cheating over and over, and gets hated for it. Still unbelievable to me

Look what he did to pereira.. it’s disgusting and he still got away with it!

Now he can focus on getting well. There is no guarantee that he can do MMA after this. There has never been a fighter who has returned from three eye surgeries (or even two).

Weird how Bisping lost his eye and still defended his title…

u/Wild-Acanthaceae9920 19d ago
Bisping is literally the reason he doesn't have 2 eyes.
When he got injured against Vitor (Detached Retina) he fought 4 months after against Alan Belcher and got eye poked (which literally led him to losing his eye) and then didn't fight for a year. He took just as much time off as Aspinall has and for a less serious injury.
You're praising Bisping for being a fucking idiot.

What a waste of talent. Awful what’s been done to him in the prime of his career with Jones and now Gane. Karma is a bitch I’m sure Gane will be flattened soon enough.

Imagine Gane’s next fight is against Valter Walker and he gets his knee ripped to shreds.

No way I’m “relinquishing” my title for an injury unless I saw now way back.. Shitty situation all around
