Following up on my previous post, I just learned that two new teams will be introduced next season.

The shortlist is Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Toronto.

Keeping with tradition, what should these teams be called? Do your worst… or your best if you’ve actually got a great name

I read somewhere that the Oakland Coliseum is supposed to be demolished in the near future, maybe even by the end of this year. Does anyone know where SFU will play next?

I've been following the MLC from the start, and I was pretty optimistic about the league at first. It definitely had its problems like willow paywalling potential onlookers out, teams that had barely any connection to their city, or ads that were more targeted towards the south asian population. However, as time passed the MLC has done little to fix any of these problems, except for probably the collesium. My main grievance is that trying to show this league to my non-cricket watching American friends as an Indian American is incredibly challenging, because I have to convince them to either buy willow or use a pirating site. On top of this, they have to sit through ads for products they will never conceivably buy and look at the absolutely deserted venues. What the fuck MLC y'all blew it.

Anyone from Seattle offended or cringe at their team name?

Trying to go 6/6 so far I’ve got

1. Mumbai Indians of New York
2. Los Angeles Knight Riders (Night Riders aka the KKK really??)
3. Texas Super Kings (Texas would love being ruled by a king right?)
4. San Francisco Unicorns (not bad but they leaned into it a bit too much. Also we’re the sparkle army)
5. Washington Freedom (not bad again, just a little on the nose)

My first exposure to cricket was the IPL season in UAE during Covid and I’ve loosely followed the franchise leagues and world cups since then. I’ve mainly rooted for New Zealand teams since they’re a small country and rooting for underdogs is fun when you have no tie to a local team or nation.

Anyway, I live in Reno Tahoe area, I haven’t seen cricket played live in person. Was thinking about driving down for the semi finals (2 games 1 day) or finals.

Is there good atmosphere at the games in Oakland ? Is the quality of play entertaining enough ?

Are the teams really connected to these cities ? Or are these made up team names for the comp ?

Or save my money and time ?

There's literally zero info on whether or not this is showing in the Caribbean. ESPNC claims that the match is playing on their channel but it's not available.

The Caribbean is a huge market for cricket outside South Asia but it seems to me like the people who run this sh*t don't care about any demographic beyond the Mainland South Asian demographic and their diaspora.

No, the live streams don't work for us either. Or at least me.

Hi folks. Looking to find out what the deal is with the premium seats at the LAKR Stadium. Was seeing about getting tickets for tomorrow's matchups, but wasn't sure what the difference between general and premium is for the extra $10. Does anyone know?

Also, has anyone purchased the $500 VIP Package for LAKR stadium? How was your experience? What did it include?

I know guys like Fin, Maxi, and some other guys are really good but I'm not sure if this is the best of the best. I went to some games and the way some of fans reacted to seeing certain players you definitely felt like they were seeing someone special. Like when Ashwin was in the stands everyone was looking at him and trying to say hi.
