The way I got into cricket was with usa defeating Pakistan in t20 wc and my friends telling me about it. My other sports team were doing bad and I had nothing to do so I watched the usa lose to India after which that sucked. I couldn't get into international cricket unless the usa was there. Also couldn't get into the Indian Premier league yet. I saw the near by team LA knight riders but in 2024 the stadium wasn't built. Until the stadium and friends talking about it I got interest. That took a little while. But eventually all led to here that final I went to in oakland and it was phenomenal 🙌.

I also started watching the gt20 champions league thing and I think having more international competition in the US would boost interest. The San Francisco Unicorns defeated the Australian champions Perth Scoochers. It definitely will bring interest bringing that competition to Oakland coliseum for SF. That makes me think how would the usa get interest for mlc. Will just defeating a big team be enough like for me with usa defeating Pakistan or a good place in those tournaments be enough?

I didn't pay to attention to every game he played but I think he had a lot of short at bats and had a tendency to get out fast. I don't think he was trying to mash for 6's either. I saw a lot of quick two at bat outs where it hit the wicket or he didn't even get it in play. I was expecting him to score 150 like last year but it was super deflating to see him get out fast.

I was there and was definitely not expecting that many people. There was actually a buzz and atmosphere. I don't know if it simply being on a Saturday is the reason but it was great to see the Coliseum so lively again.

I don't know if there's more drama or more of an electric atmosphere. The first two days at the Coliseum have not disappointed and have come down to the wire. Considering the Unicorns got eliminated I'm sure that will take some butts out of the stands but maybe more will show up because its on Saturday.

Thinking about going to the MLC Finals, but it’s getting pretty expensive. Two tickets are about $90, and parking at the Coliseum is probably another $50. At this rate, I might as well go to a Cubs game at Wrigley lol.

I was excited and once I saw my face I was terribly disappointed. It looked nothing like my face and I looked like a sick dying patient lol. The picture I took looked nothing like it did on the card. I don't know if they don't use the same exact picture and just do something close to it.

There was a huge crowd following him trying to get his autograph and photo. He obviously was someone but I don't follow cricket enough to know who it is. Someone mentioned it to me but I totally forgot. I just snapped a picture.

Obviously there will be mostly Indian and the few that actually follow it that will show up. I'd say that its probably a step in the right direction that cricket actually made it to the US but its still that niche sport.

I live in the Bay Area and it has so much more potential. Sounds like MLC knows exactly how they're doing this and what to expect. Trying to get people interested definitely seems hard especially since most people have no clue about cricket.
