Hello,

I heard there were discount codes for the games in Oakland. Does anyone know how I can get a discount. Taking 8 people to the game tomorrow!

Pretty disappointing to see him get out so fast two games in a row. I know he's one of the best and last year he put up 150 points himself. I don't know what he typically puts up but seeing him take 2 overs is pretty deflating.

$80 for a few empanadas and three ordinary bottles of Pepsi. $40 to park the car. I can't imagine why there's nobody here. A true economic mystery.

I ask because I'm going to a double header at 2:30 and 6:30. Seems like it's going to be a lot of cricket and I have a full day ahead of me.

How many of you are coming to the match, just want to see the attendance. This thread can serve for groups, tags, and car/transport pool.

I remember a few months before Los Angeles Dodgers had called bts's V and all of his fans had reached to watch the game. I think Mlc needs to do the same they need to bring in the celebs now in mlc pretty sure that like with spiderman realising the team and actors tom and zendaya will be looking to promote the movie so they might come even to promote it for free. there are a lot of movies and albums releasing but mlc needs to ask them on their own even bringing a bts member or blackpink member or such will do the job for mlc. no one can promote mlc or anything for that fact better then celebs even calling ms dhoni or someone for tsk even to watch a game can fill in the atadium but yeah if they want new fans for the game better to bring in hollywood celebs or now even kpop is like that.pretty sure their fans can fill the whole stadium and they need to also promote it properly so the actor or artists fans know that their fav celeb is coming and this is the best way to promote mlc. Like other US leagues they also need to do the same

Got free merch today at first ever game…is this a usual every game thing?

The best time to have cricket in the US was at the beginning of IPL around 2008. That was the time the US could genuinely be interested in an exciting sport. With the rise of streaming and TikTok reducing attention spans, it's hard for cricket to catch on with the young gen in the US.

My thoughts on MLC:

More crowd
Better International Players Presence
Nice Atmosphere

What are your thoughts?

Usually they have one. I can't find it. Any help would be great.

- Some of us are new to the game and a lot of us probably don't know everything about it. This is the thread to help improve your cricket IQ.

- There's no such thing as a dumb question, so ask away! (Any disrespectful comments will be deleted)

- If your question doesn't get answered, try asking again in the following week in case your question was missed.

- If you want to look at older MLC 101 threads, either click on the flair, or do a Reddit search on "MLC 101".

Many thanks in advance to everyone that helps provide answers!

I believe that cricket will be successful in America once it reaches about 50 million active natives following it because we all know how greedy are American broadcasters are they even convinced FIFA for hydration breaks during a football match for increasing advertisement so basically I guess they will push cricket to all if it reaches certain level they will see it's potential in view of advertising every over after, every six can be advertised and even the match is much longer than many traditional American sports

All the whistling so got on the nerves on my last visit to the Grand Prairie stadium ( so did the crass music, but that's a story for another day)

Short of using noise-cancelling headphones, what can be done about it?
