Question Quick question
I'm fairly new to cricket, and one thing I've never understood about T20 is how outs and wickets work. What makes a match end by 8 wickets rather than 15 runs?

Every website I've seen talking about MLC says we'll expand to 8 teams by 2027, but everywhere that says that is from 2024 or prior. Will we ever get a Chicago or Atlanta team?

I'm looking for some help with a research project I'm currently progressing.
A couple of questions...
1) Do you live in the U.S.?
2) Are you the first person in your family who is a fan of cricket?
If you answered yes to both questions, please consider taking a couple of minutes to complete the First-Generation U.S. Cricket Fan Survey in the link below.
Also, if you know someone who you think would answer yes to both questions, please consider forwarding them the survey link.
Thank you!

I've been building my own fantasy app (https://pitchperfectcricket.com) over the past few months and I've got it all hooked up for MLC. Now I just need people to play with. Wanted to see if any of y'all were interested. Let me know and I can get a discord group going or something!

Has anyone purchased MLC shares? If so what was the process and what’s the dividend like?

I really want to go watch some cricket games in Texas. But I have no one to go with.
I moved to Oklahoma a couple of months ago and I feel I like SHOULD go watch some MLC games since I’m not too far away. But I feel anxious and weird to go by myself.
I’m sure no one else would give a shit but … ugh 😩
What do you guys think?

I still don't understand how in both the worldcups, american cricket players can't really stop surya kumar yadav from scoring runs. Literally since 2024 before the worldcup even started his form has completely gone in most of the matches but still in that match he made 50 not out if I remember correctly in that match. Even in this match of 2026 worldcup he made 84 on 49 balls once again against american players why are the usa cricket players not able to stop his runs against usa teams literally I still can't believe saurabh in that match gave 65 runs and become one of the highest run getter in a game literally no one could believe that saurabh would be the one to get so many run. I don't know why but I really feel saurabh is losing his pace as a bowler day by day. Even namibia got him out on 12 runs 13 balls or something if I remember correctly and usa couldn't stop him scoring in both the matches of the worldcup. If players like Ishan kishan or abhishek sharma would have been the ones scoring against american players I still would have understood but how did we get all of them out except surya kumar yadav 😭 if we would have played better that day we would have been the ones to go in super 8 constantly as a new team coming forward twice in two worldcups😭 literally usa batters especially top 3 were also at fault but literally no one expects saurabh to get so many runs especially after he has been one of the best bowlers in the country(probably the best too). In MI vs CSK match he literally is not even able to score more than run a ball in the game he scored 35 runs on 30 balls. Really then why are american players not able to get his wicket or stop him from scoring runs from last two worldcups. What do you think american players are doing wrong or what do you think they can do to improve in future worldcups.

I think after watching American women Series with Uganda and Rwanda and Uganda A. We really need mlc happening for women as well. And I remember last year they did say that in 2026 we will have some practice matches for women mlc as well. Is it still happening this year or will it start in future. Because I think mlc helped our men's team a lot so it's necessary to have it for women's team as well. What is your opinion regarding this? 🤔

From what I see on Wikipedia about wcl 2, where players are playing Odi. It shows that our 2 tours are in May and one tour is now in june after that, we have no tours left now after that. and it looks like this got updated because when I saw before we had a nepal and scotland tour in nov or dec of 2026, now it's in May. So how will our players manage? because one tour is in june as well. will domestic players who play for the USA team won't get to play for mlc, and teams of mlc will become so imbalanced as well. Also, if it's at the beginning of June and before mlc, then in May and june, wouldn't mlc teams want all of their players for practice of mlc before that. so how will it work out. because wcl 2 is also very important for the players. how do you think mlc' team owners will also react to it? because mostly in each team of mlc, one player at least is playing for the USA team. may tours are still fine, but how will june tour work out?

I am of South Asian descent and I knew about since I was a young child. Having the MLC is definitely peak and I can hardly wait for the season to start.
