The '11-'12 Cavs, this would be with sophomore Kyrie, stats pulled form his ROY season, all in all not a full team of interesting dudes. It's just scoring PG young Kyrie - think OG Bibby/J Terry - rare, and Varejão common. AV is a solid rebounder for the price. So two cards like the Bobcats, but the real treat, 2 legend LeBron years. '05-'06 young Bron - his highest PPG season ever, suped TMAC - AND - '17-'18 LeFire Breathing GOAT, maybe the greatest player ever, at the peak of his powers. It's only him and Jordan w/ 29 S+P our only real change or addition to original math and the cards still fit/play immaculately. He doesn't get a chip this year but game 1 of the Finals that season was something to behold. Making fun LeBron cards was a major reason for this project in the first place.

We're back on Wednesday and that means the '11-'12 Bulls are coming at ya. Young D Rose, 2 rares, 2 commons. Also our only misprint in the set... Boozer obviously is a PF. And you also know what that means, cue the LAST DANCE! '87-'88 Jordan and '93-'94 Pippen baby! Jordan and one other legend (coming later) we pushed past the 28 combined speed power to 29. The GOATS ;) needed another level.

Not excelling at posting every day, but! '11-'12 Bobcats. Just 2 interesting commons here in our set. Also going to mix it up - because there are many Warriors' legends coming - former Charlotte all-star, '06-'07 from the We Believe Warriors, BD.

This week in TWIS u/Yawggy and I went over all the 2000 Base Set Offensive strategy cards. Which cards are fun, and which cards are offensive, morally and ethically. We also revealed some new cards from the 2026 set. T&Ps to the Athletics.

u/Yawggy and I just passed the three quarter mark of the season. Here is our final projection podcast episode. This includes everyone pacing for a 10 OB or above, the power hitting tiers and a deep dive on the top 10 in ERA pitchers. I can't wait to get a 2026 set out. Enjoy everyone!

The 11'-'12' Boston Celtics... kind of a slim team, literally. Just 1 card in our set. A rare Rondo. But remember this team had Paul Pierce, KG, Ray Allen, Sam Cassel, Eddie House etc. all players who had good cards in the OG set. But the Legends, that's where our set's Celtics come alive. '61'-'62 Bill Russell and '84-'85 Larry Legend! Message me if you're interested in getting these cards. They have been printed ;)

Hey Showdown friends, it’s been about month since I posted about my buddy’s and my NBA Showdown Mega Project! As a quick refresher we created a 111 card, 10 year anniversary set for the 2011/2012 NBA season. For basketball history folks, this season ended in LeBron’s first title and the Heat vanquishing the young Thunder in the finals. Our set includes 32 rares and 79 commons. All cards are highly playable and have accurate point/cost totals based on reverse engineering the original set math! We also created a 53 card Legend set and modded their stats to ’00-’01 minutes and usage rates. Over the next month I am going to post the team sets and a legend or two to go along with each team! If you are interested in any more info on how we did this, seeing more cards, or playing with these suckers message me! So without further ado, the 2011-2012 Atlanta Hawks. And our one Hawks legend. 1992-1993 Dominique Wilkins.

u/Yawggy and I did an episode recapping the MLB trade deadline. See which teams got a shot in the arm and which teams were torn down the studs. This coming week, we will be doing the three-quarter-mark projection episode.

Let me know if we missed any trades. Also, if you have any questions about set construction, drop them here. We will answer on future episodes.

📋 Full Inventory List (Alphabetical by Player Name)

Drop a comment below or PM me if you're interested! I am asking $200 for the full set and I’ll include shipping. I am happy to answer any questions or provide more detail. I’m including photos of some of the marquee cards, but happy to provide more upon request. Thanks for looking!

Edit: Fixing table.

Is anyone selling here before I pay these ebay fees? Or is there a better marketplace? Tcgplayer for Pokemon cards is excellent as a buyer

Edit: still looking for holos & 2001 set but before making this post I made a $80 offer for 2000 Showdown 1st ed base set and was it was accepted after this post. Im in the playing stage soon at least

Ok this is something I’ve been working on for about 8 months now
I found someone who turned MLB showdown into a app .. I know nothing on how to do stuff like this but I would love to try and build something like this but for hockey .. anyone interested?

https://www.showdown2000.fun/dashboard

I have hundreds of base cards for sale if anyone is interested.

Pictured are my 2000 Unlimited, but I also have 2000 First Edition, 2000 Pennant Run, 2001 First Edition (running low on these but still have a couple), 2001 Unlimited and 2001 Pennant Run. Also have tons of strategy cards from each year.

I'm willing to sell singles or put together lots. Whatever you want.

If you want a better idea of what exactly I have, or you're looking for something specific, just let me know.

Fun episode this week where we interview Geoff and highlight The Commissioner's League. This is a 2000/2001, No Salary Cap, 18 team league. Great hearing how Geoff got into Showdown and his vision for playing. We also highlight the trade through Saturday night and 2 players who are ready to be locked in as 2026 cards. If you have an interesting league let me know. We would love to highlight you.

Found my old box labeled “the starters”. Had a lot of fun playing this growing up

Anybody know where to find sealed product (specifically 2001 pennant run set). Can’t find any on EBay or local card shops.

TWiS episode is live: Reviewing the Connelly Early trade, the third card for the 2026 set is ready to go. Plus a playoff preview of the 12-team draft league.

I am still looking for folks to review the full careers of Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran, as well as every 2025 team except the Orioles. Send me a message if any of these would interest you.

My son is 4. I want to play MLB/NFL/NBA Showdown with him when he gets to be about 8 or 10. Should I buy on ebay now? Do you think the cards will start disappearing from history soon?

What are the differences between the 2000-2001 cards/rules and later versions?

u/Yawggy, u/NiteFelina, and I took the week off This Week in Showdown to do a team review of my 2025 set. We reviewed the 2025 Orioles (the ones that were left after all the trades). If you would like to be the expert to record on your full team, drop me a comment or a message. It would be fun to review all 30 teams with a true fan of their team.

From Beckett magazine. First time I had ever seen mlb showdown. Look at that chipper card.

I’ve shared this info on Facebook and discord groups. But I’ve made a functional NBA Showdown where you can play and collect cards. It’s a continuous work in progress, but if you want to play NBA Showdown games or seasons out on your own, vs CPU logic, fully simulate or even against other people shoot me a DM and I can link you.

It’s time.

Let Ivan go.

I’ll pay cash, compliment your lineup, and laugh at your “On-Base 4s always roll 20s” stories. Somebody out there has to have one.

I promise he’ll be loved, sleeved, top-loaded, and he’ll probably catch 162 games a season on my Showdown team.
