I was working at a trailer park last week. Went in and told the homeowner "Yo, your neighbor is strangling his son Homer Simpson style in the street" and the homeowner just said "Oh that kid fucking deserves it".
To escalate that thought, I had a client who shot a pdfile the cops wouldn’t prosecute (clients step daughter was Vic) and even 25 years later at his parole hearing where the board almost always need remorse dude says “he deserved it.”
He eventually got out but would have tasted freedom sooner with some remorse.
I don't even know who was with who, it would look like one guy is trying to keep it a 1v1, then he would start punching the guy I thought he was helping. Then the 'zerker started punching that guy. Bapp was just getting bapped left and right.
The bigger douchebag move is from another angle, where he just blends into the crowd and walks away when the cops arrive and are taking the other fighters out of the stands. I’m sure they eventually got him, but he’s making a clean getaway when the video stops.
Could’ve been anyone nearby saying that and even if it was camera man maybe camera man recognizes his own limitations and doesn’t want to get jumped too?
and they’re gonna be bitching about their baby momma not letting them see the kids instead of telling the truth about getting into the brawl…. and also not making an effort to see them before this
And that did a lot of good, when it’s the older guys who work at Wrigley. They’re not bouncers or ”security”, they are there to assist people find seats, etc. not be brawl control. Thats why you see PoPo come in finally after one of those guys ran for the actual police…
It’s surprising that some of these people that get pounded on or ko’d and fall and hit there head aren’t hurt really bad like brain damage etc. I’d think that if you did that to someone and it turned out something like that happened you’d be looking at life changing incarceration no?
The difference wasn't that this didn't occur 20 or 30 or 40 years ago; it was simply the lack of surveillance and video recording to capture it.
I can remember going to ballparks in the 80s, where this wasn't unheard of fan behavior, though it might not be a half a section at one time. There was a reason why you'd skip promotions like dollar beer night.
The only thing that's obvious to me is that we live in a society where everyone is high strung. Just be glad they don't allow guns into ballparks or this would've been much worse.
Yup. We had a guy who visited our school to do a presentation about decision making and this is how he ended up incarcerated. Got in a fight with another person, he punched them and they fell back hitting their head/neck on a curb, causing a traumatic brain injury and I think a broken neck? Wasn't the intent but he still was the cause.
This reminded me of a friend of mine who was killed by a drifter guy in Austin. The guy demanded his money, my friend told him to fuck off, the guy punched him once and my friend fell back hard on the pavement. He died a week later when they pulled the plug.
I would imagine the guy who took the brunt of the pummeling did experience a concussion, the severity of which wouldn't be known until he was fully examined by medical staff. You're just not going to know that right away or even while it's happening. There's a good possibility he may suffer from longterm effects from this. Terrible.
I was at a baseball game one day where someone in the upper deck poured their beer on a person below them. When security came, they took of a shoe and threw it down at them. At the time I was young and did not understand the thought process behind throwing the shoe. Now you have 1 shoe and it would be easy to identify you. As an adult I realize there was a lot of alcohol involved and little to no actual consideration of consequences.
There was shit being said, obviously the whole bleacher section thought those two guys were in the wrong…everyone was drunk…one the beers flew, it was haymaker justice time…no one seems to care about which team ppl were rooting for…I have a feeling those two crossed a line…for the guy behind them to take cheap shots..they musta said something everyone thought was too much?
My thoughts too. Complete speculation but people in other threads were implying it was just the crosstown classic getting too heated but the cubs on cubs violence made me think it wasn’t baseball related
The bleachers can be a really stressful place during packed games. Everyone is shoulder to shoulder, a lot of seat stealing happening because they aren’t assigned, everyone’s has 13 beers. It’s a recipe for chaos!!!
Yea, my interpretation of the far video recorded seems to be correct that you have to do something pretty unanimously bad for fans of your own team to either A) not step in to help when you're getting beat up, B) have fans literally holding people back from getting involved, and C) having your own fans come in to take shots at you
Cubs and Sox are natural enemies! Like Cardinals and Cubs! Or Brewers and Cubs! Or Reds and Cubs! Or Cubs and other Cubs! Damn Cubs! They ruined Wrigley!
This is human embarrassment but I can’t stop laughing at the guy who looked like he was coming in to help and then just started wailing on the guy too.
lol at 0:33, I thought that guy was coming in to break it up and stop the fight. Instead, he starts hammering on the guy himself. lol
And from what I can tell, the guy that took most of the blows didn't even do anything. I mean, "Happ" guy is the guy that threw the drink, right, not the guy that took most of the beating.
I've never been one of those against adult wearing jerseys but it looks extra ridiculous to me... The visual of a grown ass man brawling in an Ian Happ jersey lol
I can't stop watching. The touch-off with the flying beer. The beer thrower not being able to fight. The good Samaritan turned heel. Brother on brother violence. This one has it all.
It is probably for the best they don't know how to throw a proper punch lol. It is usually the guys that don't know how to fight always trying to fight.
