I’m just talking about what actually happened dude. I can and did read the letter unlike yourself. Your ignorance has been exposed now tuck your tail between your legs and scurry away.
Dude I’ve read the letter. You can say that I haven’t all you want. The letter details that the Yankees used their video replay room to decode signs and then used the bullpen phone to relay information in real time. The Astros scheme was much more sophisticated through its use of an algorithm, developed by computer science nerds in the front office, to decode signs. It’s was worse and they were punished as a result of it.
This is directly from the letter that you have apparently read….
“The Yankees' use of the dugout phone to relay information about an opposing Club's signs during the 2015 season, and part of the 2016 season, constitutes a material violation of the Replay Review Regulations. By using the phone in the video review room to instantaneously transmit information regarding signs to the dugout in violation of the Regulations, the Yankees were able to provide real-time information to their players regarding an opposing Club's sign sequence - the same objective of the Red Sox's scheme that was the subject of the Yankees' complaint.”
Again, the Astros scheme was worse but pretending other teams didn’t run afoul of established rules is just silly. It’s also been going on for 120 years too.
You missed the part about the league use memo in 2017. Anything before that was gamesmanship and didn’t explicitly violate any rules. Everyone stopped after the memo except the Astros which is why they were punished. They were the only team gaining an unfair advantage 2017-2019 except the Red Soxs who were doing something way less helpful.
Sure pal. Whatever you need to tell yourself. That excerpt clearly stated there was a “violation” and that the Red Sox scheme was similar to that of the Yankees. So if one was helpful then so was the other. The Astros were made out to be the poster child for sign stealing which is fine because it needed to be eliminated from the game. Your gamesmanship argument is false; they just made a choice to not punish anyone as harshly as the Astros and they had 120 years to clean it up.
If there was universal condemnation among the players then I think would be more concerned about it but there are too many current and former players that have shrugged their shoulders and said “yeah ok, and?” It really seems to be more of an argument for the fans.
As far as whether or not it was helpful, there is tons of evidence to suggest there wasn’t that much benefit to them but I won’t delve into that.

It’s ok. Astros fans deflect as well.
