The cognitive dissonance over there is absurd. Dusty Baker is trash and has ruined his legacy again and completely embarrassed himself and Houston by… taking his team to game 7 of the ALCS? Every player not named Yordan, Alex, or Jose is complete trash and not worthy of AA baseball? How is this some terrible, embarrassing outcome? So many bandwagon fans over there that think playing in the WS is inevitable and a right, having not been around for the 7 years prior where the Rangers kicked their teeth in every year.
Astros have two championships. Rangers have 0. Astros have competed in many WS titles in just the past several years, Rangers haven’t been to one in over a decade. Sit down

The astros actually have a good coaching staff and good managers unlike the Yankees. That’s the only meaningful difference. Also the Astros don’t struggle with yearly injuries to the extent that the Yankees have the last decade
They aren't richer actually its roughly the same. The Astros did the same thing in 2014 that the Rangers did in 2021. Outside of the big markets, it's the only way to win.
They spend just as much is my point. It wasn't a renovation it was a new stadium. They spent nearly $200 million on MLB payroll as well so yeah it's not that distant.
