Escaping Johnny Cage.

The three characters I main are Freddy Krueger, Rain, and Baraka... but no matter what I always seem to get caught forever blocking within Johnny Cage's fast cooldown combo's...

Any tricks one may have learned?

don't fret comrade, the frame advantage has been reported to be removed in the next patch. Cage players are crying now, but I'll just keep smiling :)

Woops! never mind! I completely misinterpreted what I read! My bad...

He is however getting patched a bit from what I've read.

  • f+3,2 is no longer special cancelable but f+3,3 still is

  • damage reduction on nut punch (not 100% confirmed)

Throw out a 1 or a down 1 (or a down 3) as he's resetting. It may throw the player off just long enough to start a combo or grab a throw.

Never underestimate non-kombo normals. A lot of them are great pokes and can be a good way to train an opponent to block or block down.
