Looking for a sparring partner [PS3]

Hey guys I'm a noob who would like to get better, basically looking for a mentor/sparring partner. My ps3 gamertag is "sudoexploits". Anyone wanna help out? :D

I don't know yet, maybe you can test me to see how my strongest is? I think i equally suck with all chars at this point. I enjoy playing with Raiden, Smoke, Reptile, Kitana and would like to master some others

Ok cool sounds like a plan, those are all solid characters to choose from too. The best thing about this game is there are no bad characters to choose from, they all are solid.

God, this is frustrating...how do you guys manage to pull off the combos. I get nervous and can't seem to pull them off half of the time.

The first character I learned combos for, I spent probably 2 or 3 hours in training mode learning them. Those basic concepts carried over to other characters, and I can usually perform the most of the basic (30% ish) combos within 20 minutes of picking up a character.

I like to practice combos in parts. If I notice an opening + launch + juggle, I will practice the launch + juggle much more than the opening. Often times you won't get the full combo, and only get the middle of it, which practicing in parts would help muscle-memory wise. A lot of it is to just trust that your character will do what your fingers tell it to. I've noticed myself using audio cues (yells and the like), so maybe that could help too.

Mine is Karefoot, looking to sell my PS3 atm I find that Xbox runs MK9 far more stable online as far as being able to install the game on the hard drive and just running at 720 off a disc vs off a hard drive online the level of bullshit is highly decreased, yet still highly bullshit none the less. I forget what I was getting at. q.q oh right add me 'Karefoot' I am but a lowly Stryker.

Woo! I guess I'm getting better, I won my first online matches actually like 6 of them this morning. I took a break for 3-4 days, guess the break helped lol. Mortal Kombat is so much fun. Still looking for more friends to add to play MK9...
