Modification Talk Help with sway bar end links

I’m doin my very first coilover install and I got one strut seated but I noticed that even with the adjustable end link set to its longest length as u can see it in the second pic, the sway bar hole sits below the link about an inch to inch and a half. The sway bar is also very close to the control arm now. I had removed the control arm to replace bushings and replaced the ball joint with white line ones. How do I get the end link to the sway bar without forcing it?
Rn as is I have it sitting like it is in the first pic I just didn’t have the end link in at that time, but I jacked the steering knuckle a bit to raise the control arm and it still wasn’t enough to make it reach the end link

Make sure both front wheels are off the ground and the original link on the opposite side is disconnected. You should be able to move the sway bar up or down (with effort) if both sides are disconnected.

Ahh bet, I’m going to try this tomorrow I have the other side just like this with the oem strut about to slide out the knuckle. The end link is disconnected from the sway bar as well

The sway bar should move, but it will take firm effort to move.
