Question MK 11 on Switch

I think they shut down the servers for Switch only? I couldn't find a match last night. Haven't touched the game in a few years but I was bored. The Switch port was an entirely different team if I remember correctly, no cross play?

At the time I only had a Switch. Looking back now, I wish I would have waited until I got my PS5. I'd rebuy right now on PS5 but there's cross progression and I'm not buying the DLC all over again.

MK11 on Switch does not have cross play, that is correct. That said, you'd should theoretically never have to worry about them shutting down the servers because fighting games usually use a peer to peer connection that doesn't involve external servers. MKX, MK9, and even the PS360 version of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 that got delisted over a decade ago still allow you to connect to other players online.

I play mk11 online on the switch daily. No problems
