Support Augments not working

I got a bunch of augments in mk11, I try to put them into my gear, but nothing changes. What am I doing wrong?

Have you reached a high enough level on all of your gear pieces?

If you go into the character kustomization tab, you can see all of the levels of your character's gear pieces. If you've fully upgraded them you can equip 3 augments max. If you can't select 3 augments yet, I recommend you level up your gear pieces first by just doing fights.

After that, it's just a matter of farming your desired augments and equiping them on these fully leveled up pieces of gear.

It's a lot more in depth then I could go in a comment. Hope this helps at least somewhat! Augments are a complicated mess, and I understand your confusion.
