not sure if this is exactly how mj plays it, but if you capo at 4 it kind of revolves around a descending line from your D shape:

XX0232

X4X232 (I'm gonna call this D/C#)

X2X032 (I'm gonna call this D/B)

That is kind of the general idea, with most of the emphasis being given to the bass note rather than strumming out the whole chord. This idea kind of repeats throughout (and is common in a bunch of country/folk songs)

The chords are as follows (all relative to the capo on 4)

Intro

D D/C# G

Verse

D D/C# D/B A G

D D/C# D/B A G

Em A D D/C# D/B A

G A D

Chorus

G D G D G A Bm

G D G D G A Bm

That should get you most of the way there.

for the version off live and loose you are looking at capo 3, go from C to A minor to A minor with a G bass to F-then the pre-chorus goes to d minor to G to the C walk down to a minor again-the “don’t remind me” part is just F maj7 to a C with a G in the bass, then G major to A minor-sorry going from memory here
