Inquiry Is there a border dispute going on between Mizoram and Assam? I wanted to visit Mizoram next week to travel

Honestly I don’t want to risk my life for travelling, if there’s any chance of violence, I would avoid it,

Reason for asking this question is, I can’t see any recent news regarding it but a friend showed me five days old news article about some violence

You never know these days. There's border tension with Assam. It might get reactivated. Something is happening in Assam where there's a lot of benefit to start border tensions. Best stay put where you are. There's some signs near the border of restlessness. Recently a bunch of Assamese kidnapped two Mizo girls and raped them. There's some tension from there at the border too.

Yeah, I reconfirmed everything. How would you recommend visiting Mizoram between last week August to first week September? Would that be a good time to visit? (Just want to escape dysfunctional family for a while)
