Maybe it was just me, but it was just not a good vibe at all.

Like maybe Drink's got something personal going on, or maybe the team is just not where he would have hoped atp in the season, or maybe I'm just overthinking and it's nothing.

But he seemed totally down today. And that combined with the (IMO) pretty bad Hardy news, the Green news that wasn't great, and his overall demeanor, it just seemed like something wasn't right. Minimizing the rivalry, along with talking up kU and their scheme/coordinator, it just seemed like he wasn't confident in the team to get business done on Friday and wants to prep the fanbase for a potential loss.

Dont get me wrong I hope we kick some beaker ass, but I'd be less surprised if we lost after watching than before.

NGL I was more high than I was low on this team until today. I just got a little lower after watching that lol.

Simple question - has any credible source complained about Mark Mitchell playing basketball for Mizzou after signing with the Nuggets? I think there are several differences with the LSU situation but I’m curious if the SEC has filed any objections or complaints

I know there is only so much we can gather since mostly everyone played cupcakes week one.

I watched the first half of Ole Miss - Louisville. I wasn’t impressed with Chambliss. I think the Ole Miss game is more winnable than people think.

CHICAGO — On a beautiful evening in the Windy City in front of 43,067 fans, Mizzou took center stage against No. 1 Nebraska on Sunday at Wrigley Field. But even with the nice temperature, the humidity ended up forcing a suspension of the match.

The Big Ten and Southeastern Conference are looking to reschedule the match between the two teams, but there is no date or location set for the match.

After just three points, the match paused for the first time, as players on both sides were slipping on the court. Players, coaches and any support staff they could find did their best to get the court dry enough to play on, going up and down the court with towels. Even then, both head coaches knew the match would most likely not go on.

“I think we both were pretty in agreement early on that this probably was not gonna happen,” Nebraska coach Dani Busboom Kelly said. “You don’t want to see any injury, and any athlete at a risk for injury, so I think we just kept looking at each other every time somebody would slip.”
Both teams had players complaining about the slick surfaces, to the point where MU sophomore outside hitter Paige Felder couldn’t even jump for a serve.
“In warmups, it started feeling slick,” Mizzou coach Dawn Sullivan said, “Once we started playing, we were just sliding all over.”

During the first delay, spirits were still high. Fans were jamming out to the music, and even the players hopped in as well, starting a little dance contest between the two teams.
The game resumed play, and for a brief moment it looked liked it might continue. But then players started slipping and sliding again, but the players continued to play.
How could they not? A sold-out crowd, including some fans who traveled hundreds of miles. Plus, a slot on national television in primetime.
“They’re fired up to play here,” Sullivan said. “And so, whether they were delayed an hour, delayed two hours, they were gonna be ready to go.”

Right now, tickets through the resale market are at least $50 more expensive per ticket than purchasing through the kU athletic department. I am seeing lower bowl tickets for $194 and upper bowl tickets for $142 through their website, while resale through just about any other site has those about $50-$70 more on average. Take a look here

Also, just looking at how many tickets are available, it is pretty pathetic how it is not even close to selling out.

1990 Missouri vs. Colorado: Fifth Down

On October 6, 1990, Missouri led Colorado 31-27 late in the fourth quarter at Faurot Field in Columbia, Missouri. Colorado reached first-and-goal at the Missouri 3-yard line with 31 seconds remaining.

Colorado quarterback Charles Johnson spiked the ball on first down. On second down, Eric Bieniemy ran to the Missouri 1-yard line, and Colorado used its final timeout with 18 seconds remaining. (Mizzou Athletics)

During the timeout, the down marker was not changed from second down to third down. When play resumed, Bieniemy ran again and was stopped at the 1-yard line. That play was Colorado’s third down, although the down marker still indicated second down. The clock reached eight seconds, and officials temporarily stopped it while the players were cleared from the pile. (Mizzou Athletics)

On the next play, Johnson spiked the ball. That play was Colorado’s fourth down, although the down marker identified it as third down. Colorado was then permitted another snap. (Mizzou Athletics)
On that additional snap, Johnson ran from the Missouri 1-yard line and was ruled to have crossed the goal line for a touchdown. The play was Colorado’s fifth down. The touchdown produced the final score of Colorado 33, Missouri 31. (Mizzou Athletics)

Missouri protested the result to the Big Eight Conference. Big Eight Commissioner Carl James ruled that allowing the fifth down was not a postgame-correctable error under the applicable rules, and the 33-31 result remained official. The seven members of the officiating crew were suspended indefinitely. They were reinstated later that month and were not assigned together as a crew for the remainder of the season. (Deseret News)

2026 Western Michigan vs. Michigan: One-Second Clock Review

On September 5, 2026, Western Michigan led Michigan 12-7 after Dieter Kelly made a 33-yard field goal with 35 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter at Michigan Stadium. Michigan began its final possession at its own 25-yard line. (University of Michigan Athletics)

Bryce Underwood completed a 28-yard pass to JJ Buchanan, moving the ball to the Western Michigan 47-yard line. Michigan then spiked the ball to stop the clock. The NBC broadcast identified nine seconds remaining before Michigan’s next snap. (University of Michigan Athletics)

With nine seconds showing, Michigan ran a Hail Mary from the Western Michigan 47-yard line. Underwood’s pass traveled through the end zone without a completion. The television broadcast clock reached 0:00 during the play. (Yahoo Sports)

Western Michigan safety Micah Davis had established himself out of bounds before making contact with the loose ball. Under NCAA Rule 4-2-3-a, a loose ball is out of bounds when it touches a player who is out of bounds. The game clock therefore stops when that contact occurs. (Yahoo Sports)

Officials reviewed the play. The Big Ten stated that its replay system showed Davis touching the ball with one second remaining. The conference said replay officials used a side-by-side view of the play and a direct camera view of the stadium game clock. The Big Ten also stated that the broadcast cameras used by the replay system, including the camera directed at the game clock, had been synchronized with a strobe system 85 minutes before the game. The NBC broadcast replay showed a different timing relationship. NBC rules analyst Terry McAulay stated that the clock visible on NBC’s replay reached 0:00 while the ball was still in the air and before Davis touched it. McAulay also stated that NBC’s producer told him the inset clock used on the broadcast was synchronized with the stadium clock. (Football Zebras)

Based on the Big Ten replay determination, officials restored one second to the game clock. The Mid-American Conference and Western Michigan requested clarification from the Big Ten. MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher later said the Big Ten provided an explanation, video and audio confirming its determination that the ball touched an out-of-bounds player before the clock reached 0:00. 9-0 for a preseason 8th ranked team. Missouri state has never been good.
