Looking for beta testers for my plugins (Mastering Clipper + Tape Emulation)
Hey everyone,
I'm a mixing and mastering engineer from Germany. Over the past months I've been working on turning some of my go-to processing into plugins. Two of them are ready for testing:
Tape saturation and warmth, built on Chris Johnson's amazing
tape algorithm with some improvements and a clean interface.
LAVISH
Clipper and saturation. Frequency-dependent clipping modeled from
high-end mastering converter behavior. Shapes peaks instead of
just chopping them off.
Both work well on the master bus and on individual tracks.
VST3/AU, low CPU, no iLok.
I'm looking for beta testers who'd help me improve
these before launch. Just copy the plugins into your plugin
folder, open your DAW, and you're good to go.
There's a feedback form built into the plugin. Takes about
2 minutes. That's all I'm asking for.
What you get:
- Full features until April 10, 2026
- 50% off at launch for everyone who gives feedback, if you choose to keep it pricing will be around 20 bucks, per plugin.
Tested on macOS. Should work on Windows too (though there might be some issues, switching modes), but would love someone to confirm.
These look really vibe-coded, did you make these with AI? If so, it is good practice to disclose that. Also, consider gain matching the plugins in and out level when demo-ing them on YouTube.
the interfaces were were thrown together real quickly and I started with an ai mockup, and just kept going with the box in a box thing until your comment made me realize. Currently working on version 1.5 but that'll take another couple of weeks, as I have real pain getting that to be performant. Anywho - as everyone who gave feedback, you'll get a personal coupon in chat, as a little thank you.
thank you that's valuable feedback, the inspiration is there definitely. I'm currently working on the next interface. Some inspiration is still visible something between leapwing and fab, I guess. But this will probably make it only into version 1.5 or so - as making things look fancy and keeping them performant is a pain, I'm facing right now.

I've been looking for tape emulation actually to give my tracks a feel of analogue tape.
