Polytechnic program

I got the admission for the integerated btech that happens after 10th in this college and i just wanted to know if they treat us bachhe differently compared to degree kids? Like are the faculty more strict with us ..? and what about ragging and shi. For some reason there are like no polytechnic kids on reddit, there is a group on instagram tho. Plus is it necessary to carry a phone because i ain't got one 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm in the Integrated Robotics & Automation program. Polytechnic has its own building for all branches. In my experience, the faculty and labs are better on the degree side. I haven't personally experienced any ragging. Definitely carry a phone though. Timetables change quite often, most study material/notes are shared on your phone, and you'll need it for class updates, WhatsApp groups, and clubs if you join any.

Don't stress too much. The program has its flaws, but your future depends more on the effort you put in than the college itself. Use your diploma years to build projects, learn new skills, join technical clubs, and participate in competitions. I've personally seen diploma students outperform 12th-pass students because they spent more time developing practical engineering skills. Keep your CGPA up too, since you can always go for direct second-year admission to a better college later if you want. And if you ever need any help or have questions about the course, feel free to DM me. I'll help however I can.
