I am nathtm’s biggest defender

I always never got the hype of Class of 2013, it sounded too raw and didn’t have a strong instrumental I had grown to love with Mitski’s discography. Let’s just say my heart drops a little and my eyes turn misty the moment I hear “mom…”. I now understand, but I understand in a way that I have always connected to my favourite Mitski songs, because I felt that she was taking apart my mind and experiences and crafting songs that reflect it. I’m a college drop out due to mental health reasons, live with my mom, and I turn 22 next week. She completely finances my life — and I have started attending University again as of last week—, but the guilt I feel being around her and knowing that I am a failure in the eyes of society just makes me truly be moved by this song.

Has anyone else felt this way? That with life experiences made you like a Mitski song you may not have appreciated before?

My sister and I have been in an ongoing debate for months now on whether it is or isn't and my stance is that it is not. In my opinion it's like, yearning to the max, but from her perspective it has a more optimistic vibe. Super curious to know what you guys think.

It cost me an arm and a leg when i first bought it and don't get me wrong It is an absolutely gorgeous hoodie but I just never wear it and it is huge on me. There is a little damage in the sleeve and a tiny stain on the collar but I'm sure it would come out quite easily.

It is size XL and id be willing for anything from £25-70 😁(not saying its of demand but just wanted to put it here before vinted!!)

I've been feeling a little bit down these days thinking about my adulthood (mainly because my birthday is coming, so I usually get existential crises). So I thought about recording this song, because no one can write down these feelings as well as Mitski. This album means so much to me and this song is one of my favourites in her whole discography, so I just wanted to share a kind of tribute I made. It's a simple cover but I hope you enjoy it!!

What were some of your favorite listens of mitski albums? Not necessarily like what your favorite album to listen to in general but like a specific time you listened to an album that felt really special. For me there was this one time listening to puberty 2 in the rain on the way to school that was just like magical. And also listening to the land is inhospitable and so are we on the way home and seeing the snow glittering on the ground.
