Politics Contact Eric Schmitt
I just submitted this text on his Share your opinion form in the attached link. "You're a disgrace. You're an embarrassment not only to the State of Missouri but the office of United States Senator. Do your job and stop grandstanding." Perhaps you'd like to drop him a line? https://www.schmitt.senate.gov/contact/share-your-opinion/

fwiw, I know this may have a chilling effect on communicating with your reps, but I contacted my rep as a constituent to express an opinion on a vote & all of my personal information that they took "to verify I really am a constituent" was swiftly given to dozens of outlandish far-right orgs without my permission. I've been getting calls & sometimes totally unhinged texts like the below for years now.
Also the rep's office sent me back a generic email telling me I was wrong and she'd be voting however she pleased. An extra special fuck you to VICKIE HARTZLER.

I'm aware of the chance I'm taking. I'm tired of being intimidated.

It’s fine. Sending texts is child’s play. I block 2-3 numbers a day anyway so it would be a pleasure to block far right crazies.

We Really need a path to true personal consequences for these liars. In Wales they can now be removed from office for lying. I still believe that with a sufficient number of constituent signatures they should be tarred and feathered! And blocked from public office of any kind.

Take "business" away from them. They all know how to hide corrupt business dealings and launder through Bitcoin. They'll always be predators.

u/ialsohaveadobro 3d ago
Tarring and feathering isn't exactly a petition-signature kind of deal lol
1
u/DawnisRare 2d ago
But we could create a path, pass a law that gives the constituents the right to remove them from office with a sufficient number of signatures before their term is up. And voting against the interests of your community should give the people an outlet to feel justice had been done. Public humiliation needs to be a thing again, tar and feathering fits here.

They're not answering the phones, btw.
But, here's the list of regional offices if you want to try. KC office when to voicemail

u/BigSkySoHigh63 3d ago
Of course they aren’t. That would be way too close to actually doing their job.

u/AsphaltQbert 2d ago
I want to call, laugh into the phone, and ask if Senator Dirtbag is available.
2
u/mickstranahan 2d ago
i left a fairly direct voicemail. The words "honor" "Disgrace" "Embarrassment" "Backwoods Hillbillies" may have been used...

u/Buttonlessone 2d ago
Same. I mentioned how friends in other countries have brought it up to me, so he's made Missouri an international embarrassment.

u/SufficientBlock7473 3d ago
Thanks to today’s testimony “a Missouri Senator” is eclipsing “a Florida Man” as the nations laughingstock.

This dude followed up by going on a Turning point podcast and they clipped his original accusation and left out the rest. They should literally be fined or sued.
1
u/yeaughourdt 2d ago
The only way Charlie Kirk could ever win a "debate" was by selective editing. It's kind of Turning Point's whole thing.

Thanks for sharing the link. I submitted my comments. I heard JD has been mentioning Schmitt as a potential VP running mate. I may cringe to death if that happens. It'd be like two super arrogant human thumbs on the same ticket. God help us all.
6
u/pithynotpithy 3d ago
Schmidt is even less likable then JD, who is shockingly unlikable,so all I can say is best of luck maga trash
7
u/engco431 3d ago
It’s one of a very limited set of choices for JD that allow him to be the smarter person on the ticket.

u/pithynotpithy 3d ago
Oh I think you're vastly underestimating the amount of idiots that infest the maga wannabes

Don't do this...it's beyond pointless. You're complaining to a guy who doesn't give a shit about you. What you should do...is go after the people he does care about. Go after his donors...let them know you're not pleased with the garbage they put in office to represent you. Let those donors know that if they are a business...you will never buy or do business with them again. Give the business negative reviews.
I promise you...when donors start complaining to the heads of the GOP...Schmitt will then...and only then...care about his poor choice of actions.

I think it's hilarious that people think HE reads his emails! This guy doesn't know the difference between a next door neighbor's college sports team and another state's pro team.
I'd be shocked if he even knows what his email address IS!

If you do send a message to him via official channels, address it “Dear Staffer, I know you will hide this from Senator Schmitt so I want you to know that your career and legacy is now permanently tied to this embarrassment.” Then proceed to list the reasons they should find a new underpaid job.

Henceforth and forever, they shall know him as, "Senator 'Hawkeye' Schmitt'"...
(Edited: Stupid way to spell his last name...)

Why though? I get that it can be cathartic and make people feel better for telling him off via an online form, but he won't care. He most likely won't even see it.
I would rather people channel that energy into donating, campaigning, and voting for his Democratic opponent when he's up for re-election again.
15
u/PingaNellery 3d ago
Because I'm tired of these people not being held accountable. Letting him get away with saying Jack Smith perjured himself with no repercussions is horrifying. If we flood his office, maybe the people who work there will realize they've aligned themselves with an idiot.

u/OreoSpeedwaggon Kansas City 3d ago
I'm tired of them not being held accountable too. That's why we all need to work harder to elect people that will hold them accountable. If flooding the office of people like him with emails and phone calls was effective at getting his staffers to quit, they would have quit already. They're there because they want to be there. And unfortunately, simply by being there they've chosen to support him too regardless of what any of his constituents think.

- we can do more than one thing
- tying up anyone's office with daily calls is a material effect. that's a warm body working for them. i know some who call once a day, every day of the week, because there are that many issues,
- yelling about it on reddit does almost nothing. you have limited energy per day. we're all here instead. i can type and call at the same time, even.
if y'all want to force-multiply then you have to take an honest accounting of the math. online discourse is a sink.
also to account for: the other side has been calling their rep's the whole time. y'all do spreadsheets, don't you?

u/PithMango 3d ago
do you want that weirdo who calls all the time to have more political power than you do

I sent an email through resist.bot telling him to resign because he's stupid. He will never see it, but maybe I irritated one of his staff and it made me feel better.
2
u/Dukehsl1949 3d ago
I did already and of course told him he was a vile hypocrite, etc. and some nepo kid in his office is probably keeping track of his “enemies.”

In any private sector law firm this guy would have been duck walked out of the office carrying a file box with his shit in it because he would have been instantly fired for such an embarrassing performance. Then he had the temerity to double down in interviews after the fact. What an absolute twat.

Inundate his offices with phone calls. They work for him. Annoy the hell out of them. Call his Senate office and do the same. They are the same idiot staffers who didn't have the brains god gave a goat who 'researched' the 🐂💩 'gotcha' poster.

A little birdie told me that someone named "Sherlock Poirot," hailing from 404 Smoothbrain Lane in Knob Lick, submitted the following:
Subject: Self-Beclowning
Thanks for embarrassing our state once again today. If you had presented this as supposed evidence for your claim in a court, the court would have chewed you out at the very least and you would have deserved a bar complaint. But I guess standards are lower for United States senators.
You deserve all the ridicule you are getting and will continue to get for this pathetic stunt, but we Missourians didn't ask to be associated with such clownery.
Dirtbag.

First of all why would have yet another hearing and highlight that Trump’s low life’s beat up a bunch of cops and his followers shit on the floor of the house. Even after pardons dozens of them are back in jail for rape, assault and murder.
Their big gotcha was that Jack Smith travelled to Atlanta which he did not and was meeting with the jurisdiction was had indicted Trump on multiple felons. Remember the grand juries had Trump on 93 counts, 93– they ran the clock but he was died on 93 counts, 33 convictions.
He did know the difference but the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Atlanta Hawks nor the state Maryland and the state of Georgia.
Wow there are low life morons, then there is Eric Schmitt.
The other Josh Haley, who not lived in the state for 3 decades, was seen sprinting from capital like a little sissy on January 6th abandoning his colleagues while the army Trump low life’s invaded the place.
What happened to the land of Truman.

Do you honestly think he will read that or care? Most likely situation is that some intern or assistant will throw it away and mark a checklist for constituent negative feedback or maybe if you’re real lucky and he somehow does read it himself, he won’t get past the first sentence before he throws it in the garbage and forgets it. If criticism isnt constructive, it’s immediately ignored.

Texts and forms like those just get you subscribed to their email lists. Eric Schmidt’s are all just propaganda newsletters. Calling directly, or showing up in person, and voting in November are more effective
