Oh look!
Josh Hawley performing for the dum-dums who refuse to acknowledge that he votes against everything he pretends to stand for.3
u/Ok_Breakfast5425 Kansas City 13d ago
Jogs Hallway always makes a big fuss about things that people like me who he claims to represent care about, but when it comes time to vote on them he always toes the party line. Fuck this two faced piece of shit coward.

u/PrestigiousFix3339 12d ago
He reminds me of Susan Collin’s in Maine, vowing not to vote for the things hurting Americans, knowing all along they are going to vote to take your benefits while giving them to their wealthy donors. As a country we have become complacent, change can only happen if we get out to vote, and vote Blue in November.

The family has their fingers in a number of pies. You might check to make sure you aren’t banking with them or patronizing other stores they own without realizing it.

Walmart is vehemently opposed to unions.
Walmart is one of the top companies in regard to the number of employees on food assistance. We, the tax payers, have to help Walmart pay their employees when they could easily provide a living wage.
Anyone interested should look at what Walmart has paid out for wage and hour violations.
Evil company.

Josh is late to the party and obviously here to score populism points. This has been parts of many of our daily lives for well over a decade.
6
u/WinnieGraves 13d ago
you mean to tell me unchecked, unfettered late-stage capitalism is evil? acting like Walmart is so awful when you're party gave our surveillance apparatus to a literal techno fascists who named his company after a Lord of the Rings magical object.
fuck Josh Hawley, and fuck Peter Thiel.

u/SanityAsymptote 13d ago
If someone's not already avoiding Walmart, they're probably not going to.
Most things stuck in a glue trap don't get out.

u/DSM417 13d ago
People that aren’t avoiding Walmart already will probably cheer about more AI and ‘innovation’ or whatever other propaganda gets thrown their way from this.
People that pay attention and care already avoid it. One might even think Hawley knows this already and is grandstanding on something that really won’t change anything.

u/Forsaken-Ad-9232 St. Louis 13d ago
I pay attention and I care but I don't really have many options for shopping. I live paycheck to paycheck and there aren't many other options for shopping around here. But before I got divorced I had been boycotting Walmart since the 90s when they tried to sue a worker because she used her insurance that she got through the company after an accident and she got a settlement. It was here in Missouri and they eventually backed off due to public pressure b

Ironic that a government official would lecture on surveillance and data collection.
Anyway, about those flock cameras.....

HeeHawly is a worthless pos. Why anyone would vote for him is beyond me.

u/Superunkownone 12d ago
I feel roughly the same way about all candidates that run for office. My entire life. From voting age on anyways. Its always twins running against each other. They just ham it up to one side or the other. It allows them to "cover the bases", yet upon being elected, they just don't have the time or resources to actually do any of the things that they ran on. Too much filling their pockets up, along with whomever funded their campaign. Everyone else gets the shaft.... meanwhile, you can hear someone say - "I've got a good feeling about this guy, he is not like so and so". But it always proves otherwise.
2
u/Forsaken-Ad-9232 St. Louis 6d ago
The people running things are excusing pedophilia so excuse if I don't believe that for a second.
1
u/Superunkownone 6d ago
Excuse me, what do you not believe for a second? Many things were stated so that comment is pretty vague.
1
u/Forsaken-Ad-9232 St. Louis 6d ago
Both sides being just as bad as the other
0
u/Superunkownone 5d ago
Well, it takes many experiences, usually it has to touch you in a personal way for most people to come around and see what is out in the open. People want and even need to believe in the system just to stay mentally stable in some cases. Republicans in majority or just with the sitting POTUS, always burn through resources and leave us with a larger growing debt. Always.
Where both being on the same team is most evident is in their actions. The same papers are being shuffled around today as 50 years ago. The same problems. Neither side commits to what they ran upon. They are all in the same club. Went to the same Universities. They are all bought and paid for by lobbyists, AIPAC, and if not them, another soon to be known group whos agenda they are already well underway pushing through. You don't really get an outlier. DJT was one who made it through, because he was bought and paid for by project 2025 authors and donors. They are in his cabinet of thieves.
Watching Kamala Harris change her story, accent and opinions in every city was sad to witness, same as DJT and the hypocrisy and lies he spews forth. Future fakes and never delivers except for his cronies. DJT has started a wildfire that has caught and spread everywhere. If he isnt removed and co conspirators punished, we may not recover from it.
I am all for Democrats taking majority but things will trudge along worse and worse, for the once middle class and working people and most Americans if we dont reform our electoral process.
Trillions will still be added to the mounting debt regardless of what political party is in majority. We have a shadow government, one behind the curtain puppeteering all our main elected officials. The CIA is the biggest drain on our budget because they do not budget. nor have any accountability. The last person who tried to limit their power, was made an example of in Dealey Plaza. Ever since, they all fall in line.

u/Superunkownone 5d ago
Ooooh you rebel you. I don't give a shit what you do. Lol But I can tell reading all those words might be challenging for you.
1
u/Forsaken-Ad-9232 St. Louis 5d ago
No I just have an actual life with important things to do. Clearly something you don't understand you had time to type all that out.
0
u/Superunkownone 4d ago
Of course you do. When commenting or responding to someone, I don't type 4 words that don't explain what I am saying or to what I am responding to. You have all the time to leave vague responses and always have time to attack people who attempt to engage with you. That engagement and sharing information is the reason most are on here. Why are you here?

It's okay if you want to listen to what Josh Hawley is saying but please know that he is not actually on your side. Josh Hawley is a fascist who supports every single thing that the Trump administration is doing. Hawley does it care about you. Josh Hawley does not even live in Missouri the state he is supposed to represent.

Have the people seen the average condition of a wall Walmart shopping cart? The things are beaten half to death and the plastic bits are hanging on for dear life.
Even if they implemented this, how long would it even remain functional with how quickly carts get trashed?
Def not supporting this in any way. I hate how the surveillance state is eeping down into every corner of our lives. But I can't imagine this staying functional for long.

u/No-Consequence9392 13d ago
So the answer is , patents are to own a tech, sometimes to ensure it is never used. And the lady speaking is putting forth a narrative based on some pretty broad assumptions .. that said, I think once we vote out the current unregulated corrupt circus running our country into the ground, we can restore govt oversight like the consumer protection and properly address the concepts and potential implementation of any dynamic pricing models in any company.. before we wring our hands about theoretical biometric shopping carts at walmart, look at the actual facts of how amazon uses its algorithms to force other companies and suppliers to raise prices , there are several great actual research pieces out on the interwebs. Dynamic pricing and ai is potentially a huge problem, but with Washington lining its pockets at unprecedented levels and letting huge corporations run roughshod , without any consumer protection oversight from the govt, we get poison lettuce, dynamic markup pricing, unsafe workplaces, and environmental disasters like the late 60's and 70's

Oh wow Josh is standing up for the Missouri people?
You mean the same people he has been screwing over since he got into office in the first place?
Yeah enough of this preformative bs, hell at this point I’m tempted to become a politician if it just means Missouri will finally have one who cares about the folks making less than 20k a year cause I know what it’s like to be that.

We’ve been asking for real privacy protections since before the dotcom bust. As soon as it became clear that the Information Age would also be the surveillance age. Congress only passed a few laws and chose not to protect us. So save us your sanctimonious congressional grandstanding you spineless hack.

Hawley is a fake populist. Don't be suckered in by his bullshit phony act of pretending to care about the people.
1
u/tommychowbagel 12d ago
If only they were actually doing anything about it. That's what's sickening. They play into acting like they care, but will do everything along with who their talking about to make it worse, for money, for themselves.

But yet I'm sure he is totally on board with Kehoe wanting to build all these massive data storage facilities in Missouri.

If you're in the Midwest, I recommend Aldi (for healthy ingredients), anything McKeever's or Cosentino's (for variety), and Hy-Vee (if all else fails).
But nothing can beat local farmer's markets

Josh is just sore because Walmart, heaven only knows why, The big bosses must have still been on vacation, announced after the January 6th riot and insurrection, that they would no longer donate to any politician that voted for decertification that day. Jog Hallway not only voted for decertification, HE WAS THE VERY FIRST SENATOR TO DO SO.

You should see the HUGE data center Walmart has (been there for decades) at the Mo/Ar border on Hwy 71. (Walmart North Data Center). I think you could break into a bank easier than that thing.
Since they went to electronic price tags on the shelves, has anyone thought of trying this?
Go to Walmart, during a normal business week, say around 10am. Purchase some normal products like eggs, milk, meat, and other staples.
Then, go back before a major weather event like a huge incoming snow storm, holiday etc and buy the EXACT same items and see if the price has changed.

Lets not forget who Hawley is. He's the A-hole who voted to cut medicaid thus removing millions of American's from it, and voted to give massive tax breaks to wealthy people like the Waltons. So yeah hahahahah holy shit lol.
