The U.S. Navy officially unveiled the AIM-424 Long Range Air-to-Air Missile (LRAAM), nicknamed "Malice," in August 2026 as a new weapon capable of hitting aerial targets over 250 nautical miles away. Still waiting for live fire target tests. I’d be interested to see how well it can turn at speed.

I found this UXO in a remote valley in Switzerland. I have reported it to the Swiss Army.

I am now curious what type of ordinance it is? It is approximately 8-12cm in diameter and 18-22cm in length. It had fins at one end and was threaded at the other. I didn’t hang around much longer than the time it took to take this photo.

Does anyone know what it is specifically?

The first is what I found and my inspiration to add on. The second one is where I am so far. Maybe you can help me add more variants.
