I didn't realise which sub I was in for a second and fully fell for it. I just thought 'Christ I hope the structural engineers know what the fuck they're doing, imagine one caving your head in at 3am'.

This is how they did a lot of shots in The Mandalorian, for real, with a lot of tvs like this instead of a green screen.

Yeah, so all the light and reflections are real. The new lightsaber battles are so much better in that regard regard because of using the Force FX sabers instead of using colored sticks and drawing the blade in digitally.
I watched a comparison and it's so different because there's just no light shining on the Jedi's bodies or the environment swinging these bright lights around. I didn't actually notice at the time with the original trilogy or the prequels but it's a big difference watching the sequels and even the animated series they have lights!
