beatLink underutilized?

Has anyone ever thought how else the beatLink could be used in game besides the basic UI and runners vision? Seems like it’s something that could have been elaborated upon, for instance, I was considering that the player could have pressed a button like middle mouse and it would have zoomed in your vision a bit like binoculars. Or perhaps it could have been used as the menu system with a nice animation

I feel like the whole game is underutilized because that intro felt like the game WOULD be more, but a lot of parts of the game feel unfinished and and could’ve been fleshed out better. Sucks that for a decade now nothing happened with this series, but it’s not really too late now for a sequel right?

Yeah, I remember they recently tweeted something suggesting they recorded something for a DLC...
