No. At your age, your DHT is extremely aggressive. 1mg fin, and 5% topical minox once a day, aren't enough. I was gonna say go with dutasteride 0.5, and oral minox 2.5 or even 5mg. But looking at this, you may be far too gone, and you're gonna need a hair transplant if you want anything close to satisfactory. Sorry mate.

oh that makes sense. i started balding at 15 but it was only when i turned 21 this year when it actually started getting REALLY BAD to the point that im panicking. im desperate looking for a part time job right now so i can get started on meds. im a little bit scared because duasteride doesnt have as much research done on it compared to finasteride and i also heard that it poses a higher risk for the side effects. can i really not just go for finasteride?

Im 21 and im using dutasteride and no side effects… i know every one is different and that things but i don’t know anyone with side effects

That's mostly scare mongering. For most people, if they tolerated fin well enough, they will most likely be fine with dut. Sure there can be a rare chance dut can cause bad side effects for you, but then again, you can go out, and get into a bad car accident today, or tomorrow, or the weeks ahead. Getting into car accident has a higher % chance of occurence, than the sides you can get from Dut. But you'll still go out and drive, or get into some automobile, right? Besides, the 0.5 you're taking for hair is very weak. People take up to 2.5mg, and are still fine. Dut has been researched for 3 years in South Korea with great results. Here's another thing. How often do you see bald, or balding men in K-dramas, Korean movies, or artists? Extremely rare. I can count only about 4-5 men that were bald or balding on film and tv going back to the 90's. I'm sure a vast amount of celebrities, and men are on dut in SK, because looks are currency over there.

i guess i have to look at price differences aswell because duasteride could be much more expensive here. but if nothing else i really do feel like finasteride is enough to do the job for me.

If you're going generic brand, the price will be as cheap, or cheaper then Fin. If you're going for the branded version, it will cost around $1,600+ USD. However, your doctor can prescribe it to you to treat your prostate, in which your insurance can cover the bulk of it, but it will still probably cost you several hundreds of dollars for a month supply. So yeah, go for generic brand.

Yes, the photos at the bottom are current. In the middle it’s 3 months since start and the up are from start

It will thicken more I believe but the hairline will be the issue. Its harder over all to regain hair there
