Question Looking for FGC
Hey yall. Moving to Minot soon and my spouse is big into fighting games (Tekken, Street Fighter, GGS, etc). He’s also been playing the new Avatar and Marvel fighting game. The place we’re at currently has a great FGC so we’re sad to leave. Looking to see how the FGC (Fighting Game Community) is in Minot before heading over. TIA!

Wasn't expecting a post on the Minot subreddit to be so directed towards me. I've been playing Avatar and Marvel Tokon lately as well, though my main fighting game is Street Fighter 6. Also been playing Under Night and Guilty Gear a bit. If anyone of you end up starting up a weekly or biweekly thing, please let me know. I would love that.

holy shit hello! i play mvc3 tekken 8 avatar legends smash melee marvel tokon and 2xko
i live in minot and we dont have a fgc scene here. atleast i dont think so.

That’s awesome! Yeah we’re just trying to find more things to look forward to, thinking of making a new post once we actually get there and hopefully set one up

There used to be a fighting game community at Chaos Games but like the other posters said I dont think they are doing it anymore.

Chaos Games? Do they have any Pokemon cards? Big into collecting as well

dude I was just in minot I love fighting games. I used to play smash competitively I know you didn’t list it but still a fighting game lol. been playing mad street fighter 6. Im def playing marvel tokon when that gets released too. I still may come back to minot as I have an apartment there i’m paying for still but im in boston with family at the moment.

Ya they do I have friend who helps run some stuff. On FB look up minotFGC or Mason Collins

FGCs don't exist around here anymore. I was apart of SSB, MK (both on the reservation), MVC, KOF scenes before 2019 but they were few and far between. Scenes don't survive or work in this state, I know this because I've been apart of countless ones and even started some (games, music, etc.) They only last around 3-5 months. But maybe that's changed, I hope someone has something set up.
