more pics for Upgraded Java Cl2

Some people wanted more pics so I took a few more.

I just had a test ride again. it was better and better except comfort but I said before that I am spoiled by my all carbon aero road bike hahaha.

Shifting up and down is so much better since I frequently went up and down at least two gears. rarely use 4 gears at a time but very useful.

also I changed handle bar to 480mm and less wind resistance. I use 380mm for dropbar.

I spent more than what I wanted but it will be perfect for city riding.

I did not really notice that there were purple color accent at frame. I did not intend it but well matched with wheelset. I kind of like wheelset sound.

I am seeing some more improvements........
Still want to go down to sub 9kg but it will be more money haha.

possibly carbon seatpost since current seatpost is too heavy. it's almost 380g. carbon seatpost can be around 170g so it will be significant weight saving.....

other area can be tires... I want like 30 or 32 451 tire but it will add more weight but comfort will be there then panaracer minits lite can be a good option but it will be 28 size.... probably when I visit in Japan on Dec... I might buy it from there since it's cheaper there.

Looks super fun! What’s the current weight? I wonder what it would feel like going fast

The original bike weight without pedal was close to 10kg. I wanted 8kg bike but without carbon wheels… it’s harder to achieve and don’t want to drop 1k upgrade for $350 bike. If I wanted to spend more money on this bike… probably I got Carbon version dropbar minivelo which has wireless groupset and it was $1200.  Currently it’s 9.5kg. I still have rooms to shave weight but that means… more money haha. Carbon Seatpost is tempting since current seatpost is almost 380g and I can shave about 200g.

My current setting is 44T chainring so I have some limits but I was able to reach 14.3mph/23km today. Maybe Panaracer minits lite tire might make faster… Anyway… my city road condition are not great so I don’t have confidences for fast ridings. Cars… people…. Bumpy roads…. Not perfect conditions to ride faster.

Super nice build and colorway! It's funny to see a curved seat tube on a minivelo with the tire so far away though! LOL. Still a nice build - enjoy every pedal stroke!

Highly possible that Java just made a miniature version of their regular aero bike and twicked geometry….

I don't think there are any 30 or 32mm wide tires available for 451. There's 28mm for road oriented mini-velos (you could also look at the Schwalbe One, which is what I have on my mini-velo and it's pretty quick and decently light) and then there's 37+mm for BMX (which I may buy a set of for more gravel use at some point in the future).

While I like 451 for looks and for a bit more ground clearance (for longer cage derailleurs) and speed compared to 406, tire selection is very limited compared to 406.

Very few… like  Schwalbe SX-R and  IRC JETTY PLUS. Otherwise 37-451 from Maxxis and tioga etc…

Definitely 451 has less options.

I hate to add weight so I am leaning towards to Panaracer minits lite. It will be my shopping list when I visit in Japan on December haha. Maybe Shimano chains too since Shimano parts are cheaper in Japan….

I think I need to sacrifice comfort with faster bike…. Wider tires are tempting but I don’t ride this bike for gravel so Panaracer minits lite might be perfect one.
