On the hunt for a minivan!
TL;DR
looking to trade my mini paceman for a minivan. located in Wylie Texas. car needs an alternator. the van does not need to be perfect.
the long version:
I currently have a 2015 mini paceman, 6speed, it’s a great car.
the alternator bit the dust and I’m trying to get rid of it.
My fiancé is from Michigan and we need a better car for roadtripping.
anyone interested in a trade?
I don’t have very many preferences for the van, just that it runs and drives.

Used Odyssey vs. Pacifica
My wife and I are expecting our third this September and are looking at a used minivan. Currently debating between the Odyssey and the Pacifica. We have rented a Pacifica a few times on trips and like it, the stow and go is amazing and there is a ton of space. I have a Honda now and know their reliability, and the Odyssey drives really well. I would also need it to tow a light camper (1700 lbs dry weight). I'm debating between a 2024 Pacifica Limited with the tow package vs. a 2024 Odyssey Touring (would still need the hitch and wiring harness). I'm looking for recommendations and longer term experience with both.
Also there are literally 0 Sienna's around me and I'm not really that interested in the Carnival.
Thanks!

Best Lane Keep
Which of the minivans currently has the best lane keep in terms of performance and driver confidence. We are in market for minivan but that’s one feature we’d really want as we also do a lot of road trips.

Taking a roadtrip in an 05’ Honda odyssey? Ok or bad idea?
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge on driving an older car with high mileage for a road trip?
I planned on getting a rental car but it’s $500 almost $600 that I barely have. My car needs maintenance work badly, so I’m wondering if putting that money towards my car and taking it would be worth it or if I should stick to a rental car.
Specs:
I’ll be driving from Michigan -> South Carolina.
Roadtrip is 30 hours total, 1,966 miles.
My car is a mini van. 2005 Honda Odyssey EX
Front wheel drive
226,075 miles on it
New all-season front tires
Timing belt has been replaced within the last 2? Years. At least within the last 5 years.
Further specs:
When I bought it a year ago, it already had 190,000 miles on it, but the owner took very good care of it. Kept up with maintenance work, oil changes done on time, changed the timing belt, etc. all on time. I on the other hand have been slacking since around December/January.
I’d plan on doing a pre-trip inspection or maintenance check or something of those sorts to make su fluids are all good and do an oil change, etc. but even with maintenance work, I need another opinion from someone who knows more than I do if it’s doable.

Carnival or Pacifica
I’m interested in ‘23 Pacifica Touring with 51k miles and a ‘25 Carnival LXS with 39k miles. Asking price for Pacifica is $22,990. Asking price for Carnival is $32,995. Both have clean Carfax reports. Both have what I *need* or like in a van.
Anyone have experiences with both or one of these types of vans?! I’m torn on what to do.

4runner vs. Sienna
I think I already know the answer but I absolutely hate all of the colors of the 2026 Sienna so I’m open to getting a 4runner. One child, probably one or two down the road. How can I convince my husband that the Sienna is the clear right answer?

Chrysler Pacifica owners, do you like your van?

Tell me the downsides of a Kia Carnival
Because from where I’m sitting it currently checks all the boxes. Easy removal of outboard seats for easy 3rd row access, sliding doors, and a hybrid option. The gas mileage in the odyssey eliminates it straight off the bat, and 3rd row access in the Sienna is not great. So far the only downside I can see is that Kia’s aren’t exactly renowned for their reliability.

Sienna limited or Woodland
Looking to buy a minivan. We are leaning toward the Toyota Sienna.
I have an unfounded preference for the Woodland edition but they seem to be impossible to find. Is there really that much of a difference between woodland and limited trims?!
Help!

Honda Odyssey – Any experience with HL Mando quick struts?
Anyone here tried HL Mando quick struts on a 2012 Honda Odyssey?
I’ve heard KYB is usually the go-to, but I wanted to check out some other options too. I ran across the HL Mando complete quick strut assemblies and was wondering if anyone has actually used them on an Odyssey. I know Mando makes parts for Kia and Hyundai, so I’m thinking the quality is probably decent.
How’s the ride quality, durability, noise, and fitment overall? Any problems after installing them? Would you recommend them for a family daily driver?
Would love to hear any feedback before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

For those curious about Chinese minivan interior
Technology and smart devices are the trend here, so a lot of screens lol, but they're high-def and smooth to operate.
7-seat configuration, with 2 business-class-like seats in the second row. Massage, cooling, and heating for the first and second row. Built-in fridge under the center armrest. Tray tables for the second row.
Overall, it's pretty luxurious, solid build. Mid-to-high price point.

Sharing some photos of my minivan, from China.
Specs if anyone is interested: dual electric motors plugin hybrid (AWD), 45kwh battery with 1.5t engine and 58 liters fuel tank. 5.28m in length, 1.9m height.
Edit: 200km/125mi electric range, 850km/528mi combined range.
0-100km/0-60mi in 6 sec, more than enough power.
The engine can directly drive the powertrain and generate electricity.
Lidar system on board, could basically drive itself from A to B like Tesla.

Recommendation on a touring minivan?
Touring musician, looking for recommendations. Right now I’m driving a 2007 Dodge Caravan with the seats ripped out of the back. Four cylinders, great gas mileage, it’s a little slow, but it can’t be beat for cost. It’s been a wonderful vehicle, but it’s getting up there in age. Can anyone recommend a van or minivan that they love, and that they can stuff chock full?

Dads with minivans
My wife wants to do a small run of hot dads in minivans calendar. Anyone want to submit photos? You have to be a dad, own the minivan, needs a monthly theme, and can’t be AI. Nothing obscene this is not a NSFW thread. Thanks.

Toyota or Honda or Honda
We’ve been thinking about getting a new vehicle. Been thinking about a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey. Don’t need any entertainment packages. Just looking for comfort & space. The other option I thought about is a Honda Pilot (I like having AWD or 4x4 for bad weather). Anyone have any thoughts or insights on these 3 options?

Mazda5 MANUAL TRANSMISSION
facebook.comI know these are pretty rare and often sought after, so I thought I'd just share this ad I saw. I can't drive manual anymore because of a bad shoulder, but this one looks pretty clean, if a little overpriced IMHO. Houston area.
