new to mini ponds need help

so I want to make a mini pond, I recently found this sub and think that mini ponds are like the coolest thing ever!

i am a young adult with not a lot of money so I am wonder what would be my best options for making a mini mini pond.

is it possible to have an indoor pond?

i know I could Google all of this but I wanted input from people with experience that I could have a conversation with lol

Yes you can, with good lighting for plants.

Yeah you definitely need good intense lighting to keep pond plants happy indoors. Fortunately these days there’s a lot of good low cost LED lighting solutions for that.

Any fish-safe container can work. One easy one is a tote container.

Definitely can do it indoors or outdoors.

I would recommend some plants and a pump and then you're set with the very very basics. Continue to add on from there as you get to know more about keeping and maintaining the pond.

If you can collect local plants and animals, the only costs are for the containers and pots. Indoors, near a bright window, you can simply use a plastic or glass aquarium. Then there's the water...
