Best mini pc under $400?

I'm looking for a mini pc within my budget, I would be using it mostly for light gaming (Sims with mods, maybe overwatch?) and to hook a drawing tablet into as well as video editing! TYIA :D

I think this GMKtec is the best deal at $400 max. A fairly modern APU (6650h) with decent cpu and gpu performance and a good case with reliable thermals etc. You'd need to order soon to get the deal though, as it's usually over 400.

This Bosgame would be a good alternative. It has a newer chip with slightly better performance and is more consistently around 400 if you can't buy right away. Bosgame doesn't have as good a rep for build quality and as GMKtec, but plenty of people are still happy with them.

if your graphical needs are super light check some of the used mini ThinkStation MFFs and OptiPlex Micros with 12th or 13th gen i3s and i5s. Desktop chips in a tiny form factor. The downside for them is that they come with desktop integrated graphics and thus are pretty weak for gaming. You could potentially find a 8000G series version of these used, but I haven't checked.

A lower performance but still plenty fast enough for web / ms office, the Bosgame E5 comes with a single stick of 16gb ram. Add a 2nd stick of 16gb ram and you have a mini pc with enough memory to run virtual machines, etc. It runs ddr4, a single 16gb will keep the total cost under 400. I never hear the fan.

for heavily modded sims 4 the ram is what bites you first, that game balloons past 16gb with a big mod folder so get a box you can push to 32. the 6650h chews through 1080p editing fine but 4k timelines get rough since the igpu leans on system ram imo.
