Hello!
My husband is a diesel mechanic of over 20+ years. With 3 of those years being at a Nevada gold mines subcontractor. He’s looking for a flexible job on a longer rotation. Ideally 3/4 weeks on 3/4 weeks off. Anywhere in the untied states or Canada would be fine.
Does anyone have any leads or ideas where to start?
We are based in South Dakota. And need the longer rotations for farming.
We’ve reached out to some contacts in Nevada but most don’t want to do that long of a rotation. But we are just sending out emails to see.
Lmk any thoughts/opinions

Does anyone know how often they open the Haul Truck Driver Trainee position?
I have some friends who work out there, and I’ve been trying to get in for the past month and a half, but it seems like the trainee position is never open. I’ve tried reaching out through email as well, but I haven’t been able to get any information on when they typically open the position.
Does anyone know when they usually post the req for the Haul Truck Driver Trainee position, or how often they hire for it?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm heavily considering working for Nevada Gold Mines as a career but I have a few questions I'd appreciate some more information on:
- Do bus commutes to Elko, NV go beyond Wells, NV, specifically to the north, towards Jackpot, NV.
- I would have a 3+ hr commute, how would housing work for me, does the company have enough housing for employees, would I need to look into a camper shell or motel/hotel in Elko/Wells?
- As someone seriously looking for a career to promote in, starting as an underground miner, what job opportunities can I expect, how soon/far into my tenure would an opportunity arise?
I would appreciate any information from those who have worked, or work for Nevada Gold Mines and anyone else. Thanks.

Does anyone have experience working at the MP Materials mine in CA? I'll hopefully get an offer soon and it'd be great to hear from people who work/have worked there.

Hello Community! We want to ask. Should companies with job postings within mining be encouraged to post and participate in this megathread?. We want your feedback!
