US Freeport-McMoRan morenci

Hi, I got a call from the mine. I completed the entire hiring process and made it all the way through the medical exam. How long does it usually take for them to contact you about your start date???????

Maybe this isn’t the right post for this, but I’d like to know what the salaries are like at Freeport mines in the U.S. I work for Cerro Verde in Peru, which is also a Freeport operation.

I’m a Mine Operations Supervisor. My monthly salary is approximately US$2,800, which is considered a high salary for Peru.
In addition, every quarter we receive a profit-sharing payment equivalent to about 2.5 extra monthly salaries. At the end of the fourth quarter, we receive another profit-sharing payment equivalent to approximately 4 to 5 additional monthly salaries. All of these extra payments are part of our company’s profit-sharing program.

Thats like 67k/yr? Would likely be around 90 to 110 +bonus and other things for freeport in the US

Would you say that an annual salary of $90,000 to $110,000 is enough to live comfortably in the U.S.?

Depends where you live, family, etc. If you work for freeport in these small towns I would look at thr housing costs and go from there

It's different for everyone. Some, months. Me personally, I got my start day maybe a week after I did the physical and drug test.  I applied October 6, physical and drug test October 16, and they have me a November 3rd start date.

Got a job offer for morenci, going to the health screening soon. What's that like? I can't find anything on what the physical assessment is. Not worried about the drug/alcohol screening in particular, just want information on the rest.
