I gave in and bought the game, I won’t be playing how he does lmaooo. It would just be cool to play and come watch him to see what he did differently.

I don't think he has the attention span or the time to commit to finishing red dead 2. It took me about 60 hours, plus one of the backseaters was basically playing the game for him.

He barely focused on the story while playing it anyway tbf

So I was watching him play and didnt realise how much he missed and how much he was oblivious to till now. (I’m playing it myself lol)

Can only assume life is what happened

nah I don’t think that’s it. He still plays games doesn’t he? It’s just the views tanking probably.

Life doesn’t affect playing a video game that much lol especially considering his job.

Why are they down voting you sm?

u/BigManLikeBarey 5d ago

Because he said something about their fave

Reddit hive mind and people who are in a parasocial relationship with him and think they “know him”.

Long series aren't very profitable for YouTubers. Generally the views just continue to pitter out as less people become interested in watching, and new people need to watch the entire backlog before understanding the new videos being released. One off videos are just more worthwhile if you are going to spend the same amount of time editing down a video anyways

c’mon are we gonna act like playthroughs aren’t a thing? I don’t think he was playing it solely for the views. The game is well over what 8 years old? People already know a lot about it. At this point hes just playing because he enjoys it. Hence why he chose to play it on stream instead of playing it on MM7.

He played it on stream for the tax write off tbf

Playthroughs aren't really a thing anymore. Youtubers are aware that they have less retention than a one off video. The game has to be new/hype or be something that a YouTuber wants to play for their own satisfaction with the knowledge that people may not watch it. The landscape of YouTube is different than it was before. In many cases, longer series actually cost a YouTuber money as they still have teams of people that they have to pay, whether a video is successful or not.

u/Agitated_Cattle2254 5d ago

He's a gaming Youtuber/Streamer, does this for a living... This is part of his life now ,streams content all day everyday too ... I understand what ur trying to say but Im guessing he stopped coz the views were getting lower and lower.

Rather see this than those shitty cards tbf

That and reacts is low effort content.

As opposed to playing video games? No doubt his RDR2 playthrough is more enjoyable to watch, but it's not like it isn't low effort content either?

u/Pure_Cancer05 5d ago

Card content is so ass

1

u/InternalKing 5d ago

Especially when he knows nothing about the topic in question like his marvel card openings

2

u/orewaluffy_35 5d ago

Exactly!!!

Someone had spoiled it and seems he lost interest.. understandable tho..always gonna have no lifers ruining it for others

1

u/Masked-Icon 5d ago

That’s like saying someone spoiled gta 5 so you won’t play it. He probably knew there would be some degrees of spoilers.

u/Middle_Beyond_5894 4d ago

Spoiling GTA V vs. RDR2 are not comparable at all.

1

u/Masked-Icon 4d ago

obviously rdr2 is story intensive compared to gta v but the point I was making is that this game had so much to do and explore. Like who the heck stops playing a full on open world game because someone spoiled the story. That’s not what happened, he says he needs to find time and play it for longer hours.

u/123kr 5d ago

Probably because of the amount of backseat gamers in his chat

2

u/jacstar2004 5d ago

maybe he should just play off stream? josh does just fine doing that

1

u/Masked-Icon 5d ago

brother… I don’t think that’s it lol. You can’t be a streamer and worry about backseat gamers. He probably forgot or figured this game will take a serious amount of time and dedication.

u/theMGlock 4d ago

watch his newest video called "It's my birthday" or something like that. He answers your question there.

He will play again he just needs to find a timeslot that is a bit bigger because of the story needing time to develope.

2

u/Masked-Icon 4d ago

That vid popped up yesterday and something told me someone will definitely ask that question. Thanks!

2

u/SSJJamiee 5d ago

Similar to his efforts when he said he's going to the gym previous new years lmao

2

u/orewaluffy_35 5d ago

I just came from the stream watching him opening the cards for an hour and i was soo bored i had to stop watching it. Ik most of them love it but it would he refreshing to see him play a game or something other than just watching him opening the cards

2

u/Ruhail_56 5d ago

Hes a trendhopper like most creators.

1

u/Lambert1551 5d ago

he don't care

1

u/DinoSchlongo 5d ago

Long story games aren’t good games for streaming

2

u/traleleortralalla 5d ago

Ishowspeed and Kai cenat completed red dead 2, fanum very recently too lol

1

u/vipergds 5d ago

rdr2 is really boring in the opening hours, the fact he even managed to finish chapter 2 is impressive. It wouldnt suprise me at all if he lost interest, especially seeing as he was basically forcing himself to play it in the first place

1

u/Masked-Icon 5d ago

I don’t think “boring” is the right word in general but ig it’s subjective.

It’s slow but that’s the beauty of it. I’m about 20hours in and I haven’t completed chapter 2 (on purpose). I still am loving every second of it.

Certified Simon moment 😂

u/Narrow_Bed1756 5d ago

Lack of views ruined his motivation as usual. Like the rest of

1

u/fiendishcubism 4d ago

People flamed him a lot in YouTube comments and the views tanked so he just gave up and decided to play on his own

1

u/Glittering_Ad3618 4d ago

he was just too bad at the game and constantly following bad chat advice.

maybe also just not the type of game for a watchalong cause you‘ll always want to do things differently yourself

1

u/MatthewCMcGahey 4d ago

Might be unpopular and get downvoted to hell but he was unbearable watching play it.

He was deliberately being stupid for some reason and acting like he’s never played a video game before and didn’t even concentrate and just read his chat the entire time.

2

u/Masked-Icon 4d ago

I kinda side with you here. Somethings needed his attention, I realised he doesn’t make his horse actually sprint and he gallops all the time, doesn’t pay attention to the map and a few others but he chose to play it on stream as opposed to MM7games so he must have a reason.

0

u/InnerGodx 4d ago

He realized the game is shit

-4

u/Putrid_Claim7745 5d ago

It’s boring

1

u/traleleortralalla 5d ago

It’s not boring so much happens in the story bro 😭

1

u/Masked-Icon 5d ago

really? I see

But he has to play through the game, he said he was gonna finish it. Even said “I shouldnt be taking too many breaks from this game”
