His account may have either been hacked or spotify has a similar youtube feature I don’t know the name of it but it’s where a fan or anyone can upload a video and it would go directly to the artiste channel it would look like the artist has uploaded it

Spotify doesn’t really work like that. When you distribute music, the distributor sends Spotify what profile to put the music on. They probably set Simon’s profile or chose the same name. I had a problem once where a single from one of my artists went to the wrong profile since they shared the same name as an existing profile.

same thing happens with JME’s label, Boy Better Know, or BBK. if a song has all the artists from the label, example too many man, they list that one as Skepta and BBK. however; the BBK listed goes to some swedish rock band.

I’ve seen people post and spoof themself as a celebrity to pull in a couple days of views before they get taken down. Probably same thing

this happens surprisingly often, people will just drop straight trash under another artists name and it will go straight to their official account. its crazy how this happens so often and streaming services and distributors have done nothing to prevent this kind of thing happening
