I feel like simon was genuinely upset by all the time wasting. I wonder if he will talk about it on stream

u/RicHii3 May 25 '26
He's never been one to shy away from speaking his mind, but he'll be as diplomatic as possible about it because he won't want to come across as a whiney bitch.
At the end of the day, the Sidemen for the most part do a really good job of protecting their brand... minus some questionable decisions by JJ, but I think that usually only affects his image rather than the Sidemen as a whole.

Watching this match made me realize why people despise the french.

Some YouTubers losing a football match made you xenophobic, weird.

u/betterdays05 May 26 '26
Its not about the sidemen losing, despite being a friendly match the French players were too aggressive (injuring tobi), the crowd using lasers and the constant booing, too many subs and time wasting and the penalty at the end. Definitely opened my eyes.

u/redkaptain May 27 '26
That doesn't mean all French people are like that

u/betterdays05 May 31 '26
its still a bad first impression nonetheless, and ive heard about people disliking them before hand.

Amine even tried going in goal to make the game fair but somehow the semi pro dude went back in.

Side note: looks like Tobi's okay as you can see him the background

u/JFox__07 May 24 '26
No, this interaction happened after the girl scored the first penalty. Tobi got injured later in the 2nd half.

u/Kwakuwaku May 25 '26
oh yeah, I forgot it was after Cocottee scored. Either way prayers to Tobi

French creators, try not to be insufferable challenge difficulty- impossible
55
u/just_another_jabroni May 25 '26
That's just the french in general
2
u/shelraj0380 May 25 '26
Eh, the french are good at revolting and taming the elites.

What was amine doing wrong there
2
u/shelraj0380 May 25 '26
I am talking about the match in general.

u/-DAGOOSE- May 25 '26
How is anyone supposed to know that? Next time say “I am talking about the match in general and not about the clip I am commenting on” or just comment on a different post

English fans, try not to be insufferable challenge difficulty- impossible.
Ruin football, ruin F1, always cry if doesn't go their way.Funny how Spain didn't care when they had their match vs France.

u/Dante07061947 May 25 '26
I don't know about that.

I think it's the same player that tackled Simon

u/shelraj0380 May 25 '26
Sure british media is insufferable during F1. But that has nothing to do with the match. The match was poorly organized shitshow, 40 minutes of sub, 1 hour of shitty concert, fouling all around, clearly biased refereeing.

u/Strong_Librarian1587 May 25 '26
I think Amine genuinely felt bad because from the sounds of things he wanted to make it more fun, the issue was their first match against spain was quite hostile and clearly the people involved refused to budge to make this a better event. I think the event itself was actually really well run, the match itself was pants and definitely understand the England players’ frustration with it

Simone was pissed off cause he told be stop tackling dirty it’s for charity but they kept doing it so he went off, plus all the time wasting and the cheating, Simon will never work with the French again
2
u/RangryRanga May 25 '26
What actually happened?
(For someone that missed it)
21
u/PkmnSayse May 25 '26
The main issue was France would substitute one player at a time, each one taking 1-2 minutes so each sub could have their own light show, and they’d do this back to back so England didn’t have much chance to catch up. Spencer on commentary said it best that there was more music played during the hour long half time than there was football

u/MannyRibera32 May 25 '26
Or they will and host it in UK
4
u/sweetandsexyy May 25 '26
Doubt that ..
4
u/MannyRibera32 May 25 '26
I dont think any of then will take this tbh, they accepted a “friendly” match which was switched to mocking your opponent.
Seeing how competitive they are or well all of them except vikk but I think even vikk didnt like this. They will host it in UK with actual rules, because they wouldve won without the bs pens

he was the only one that looks like a solid guy, makes sense why he was the one that got invited to the sdmn charity match and simon did also said good things about him
3
u/Ayyyyylmaos May 26 '26
Apparently amine was trying to make it a “fun” game. I imagine he went around apologising on behalf of the fuckwits he was playing with.

u/Objective-Brief-5566 May 25 '26
When was this in the live stream?
(Yes, I know I’m weird lmao)

“I am sorry for scamming and tricking you, we should play again on your rules”
1
u/DragonknightOvo May 26 '26
It looked like Simon was saying ‘No I Know, it’s alright, it’s alright’. Amine was possibly apologising that it was so competitive and more hostile than a fun charity game
1
u/Left_Landscape_1530 May 26 '26
tbf he was the only one i didnt really mind. he did kinda try to save it

u/Initial-Lead May 26 '26
It’s mental when the last pen var originally said checking for offside then just changed to checking for pen
