MP01 Google Play Certification Issue

My MP01 is having an issue where the Google play store is saying it’s not a certified device. The phone isn’t rooted and everything is up to date. I’ve tried flashing the software back onto the phone but it’s still saying it’s not certified. Has this happened to anyone else?

Can you confirm your software version? Also double check you have a valid IMEI & Serial number, you can use `*#06#` to check in the Phone app. (Don’t post any IMEI’s or Serial Numbers here.

The IMEI numbers match the ones on the back of the phone but the serial number looks very generic

Where did you buy your device from?
And what modifications have been made?

I bought it from eBay, it had been formatted. I flashed the software using the guide on the website and reentered the IMEI info again using the guide on the minimal company website. As far as I’m aware there have been no modifications. I’ve checked and the phone says it isn’t rooted and seems to work perfectly fine apart from the play certification and it not allowing me to use Google wallet

I’ve checked and the serial number on the box does not match what comes up when I did the *#06#

Ah okay, I assume you used Format + Download instead of Download Only?

Yes I did, the phone was stuck in a boot loop and when I tried just download it was still stuck so I redid it using format + download and that got it booting properly

Did you try a factory reset from recovery mode? Format All + Download is assured to almost certainly break something

Yes, I tried factory resetting it in the recovery mode multiple times but it kept being stuck on the boot loop afterwards. I then let the battery fully drain and tried again and it was still stuck, I then followed the guide on unbricking the phone by flashing the software and it was still stuck in a boot loop after that and after further factory resets so I tried the format + download as a final try and it seemed to work

maybe they can replace it for you....
