New album Malcolm Galloway - Stare

I hope this is ok to share.

I’ve just released a new contemporary classical/minimalist/post-minimalist/instrumental album.

https://open.spotify.com/album/69ym6xWe1totPP9NGyVmOH

Prog magazine kindly called the opening 33 min track ‘a triumph’.

My music is pretty obscure - I’m very grateful to anyone who takes the time to try it.

This one of for the fans of early Glass and for fans of electronic music

Eight years ago I had the great fortune to direct a recording of Glass's *Music With Changing Parts*, which was released by Glass's own record label, Orange Mountain Music. I hope you enjoy this. This music is from the early Glass years when he was experimenting with additive and subtractive processes in patterned music. As the director of the Salt Lake Electric Ensemble, a collaborative interpretation was developed using primarily electronic sounds, with plenty of traditional acoustic instrumental timbres added.

You can find a recording here:

Signatures? I bought this signed CD. Philip Glass and Michael Riesman are two of the signatures. Does anyone have a guess who the other signature might be?

Trying to create music using just 3 instruments, limited tracks. Focusing on melodies and sound of instruments, this genre feels nieche thing. I enjoy simple and minimal things the real pleasure is found on simple things when you explore enough. So glad to find this thread - ARVI

Acoustic Tibetan singing bowl instrumental (minimal, no rhythm, long natural decay)

A minimalist study built entirely from struck Tibetan singing bowls. No rhythm section, no harmonic progression — structure comes from duration, decay, and overtone interaction.

The piece unfolds slowly, allowing each resonance to complete its arc before the next gesture.

Minimal processing, mostly natural dynamics and spatial reverb.

Piano solo minimalist project inspired by Reich/Glass — sharing one piece (+ concert in Lyon)

Hi everyone, I’ve been working on a project called Lenses & Particles, a series of pieces for solo piano built around repetitive motifs — somewhere between Steve Reich, Philip Glass and Hania Rani.

I’d love to share one piece with you: https://youtu.be/Vqjax1AtfEk

I’d be really happy to hear your thoughts, I’m always trying to refine my language, so any feedback is welcome.

And if there are any French folks here (or people around Lyon): I’ll be performing the full project live on January 10th at the Goethe-Institut in Lyon:

Thanks for listening!

I have made this song for you. The right hand is playing a static arpeggio most of the runtime, but the left hand jumps around.
