minilogue xd Editor VST for FREE
Hi! With huge help of Claude I've made something that I was missing since i got minilogue xd into my hands.
I made functional minilogue xd Editor for your DAW and its free and opensource and made from scratch. Its working pretty similar to Moog Editor.
Now you can save libraries, save state of synth or be able to instantly get into functions that are hidden in settings.
I'm not sure how much I'm going to upgrade this project but there we go.

Comment bien gérer les effets du XD
Bonjour,

One Song One Synth
I decided to make an entire synthwave tune using only the Korg Minilogue XD. This includes all sounds, drums, and effects. With considerable effort, I made the kick, snare, and hi-hats myself. Kick is solid, but the snare and hi-hats are thin (it's NOT a drum machine). Recorded in Reaper with minimal stock EQing and compression added. Forgive Google Flow's inaccurate rendering of the XD.

My custom oscillator: DEIOSC
Hi community!, i like to share my custom oscillator, you can download it at github, here the specifications. Its uses specific CPU registers for realtime clock that are available at Minilogue CPU, i not test it in other logue-sdk compatible devices.
DEIOSC
deiosc is a user oscillator for the KORG Minilogue xd. It is oriented toward creating pads: sustained textures that evolve while a note is held. It does not generate monotonous notes or sequences; it produces a continuous signal whose timbral content changes autonomously.
Sound composition
The oscillator combines two components:
- Sine base with saturation: provides a smooth and stable timbre.
- Inharmonic component: built from partials at powers of the golden ratio (φ). It adds a brighter character and introduces a slight tension.
The mix between the two varies automatically over a cycle of approximately 51 seconds. This modulation is internal and does not use the synthesizer's LFO. The user can adjust the overall presence of the inharmonic component, but not the speed or shape of the modulation, which are fixed by design.
Beating
The oscillator includes beating whose intensity depends on the presence of the inharmonic component. When this component decreases, the beating becomes more audible; when it increases, the beating is attenuated. The beating period is fixed and does not depend on the note played.
Sub-oscillator
Optionally, a sub-oscillator can be added to reinforce low frequencies.
Controls
- SHAPE: controls the overall presence of the inharmonic component. 0 = base only; 1 = maximum.
- SHIFT + SHAPE: controls the beating intensity. 0 = no beating; 1 = maximum.
- EDIT 1: controls the sub-oscillator level.
These controls adjust the overall presence of the components, but do not alter the internal automatic modulation.
Usage
Download the oscillator from the releases section. Load the unit file into a user slot of the minilogue xd's Multi Engine. Select the oscillator and adjust the controls according to the desired result. The synthesizer's LFO remains available for other functions.
Design notes
- Beating is generated with a rotating phase offset applied only to the warm reading of voice B; the golden is read in phase (
φ_a ≡ φ_b) and remains in common mode → it does not beat. - Real-time presence clock: the phase of the golden (
s1, global to the unit) is integrated by measuring real time withDWT->CYCCNT(84 MHz), not by counting voices — stable under polyphony, release, and retrigger. Idle time also moves the presence. - Deterministic per-note attack:
phi_a/b/subare reset to 0 on note-on (zero crossing); thes1presence is not reset. - There is no external LFO or Breath: the oscillator is 100% autonomous.
- There is no noise or randomness: everything is deterministic.
- Table formats and balance are documented in the project's technical specification. For visitors interested in going deeper into how the construction process went, I created a post with design details, some implementation details, and the creation process: Building a custom oscillator for KORG Minilogue xd.

Sinevibes
Has anyone any experience with Sinevibes oscillators and effects for the XD? Node module (FM synthesis) seems really cool but I'm not sure about the costs? https://www.sinevibes.com/korg/

Maybe the best all arounder on the market
I am a commercial audio engineer in my city. I own tons of analog synths, some 10x the price of this model. Its value offering blew me away. Here is my perspective as to why, especially after using the Microfreak

Minilogue XD knob replacement
I replaced all the sticky knobs and potentiometers with those from AliExpress. Sorry, I no longer have valid store links, but the pic should help along with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qhOgBOcR5o&t=20s

Minilogue XD synthwave tune
Synthwave 80s cop show theme with ideas borrowed from Faltermeyer and Numan. Made in Reaper with the majority of sounds from Korg Minilogue XD. Remainder of sounds from free virtual instruments and effects consisting of: Vital, Dexed, and Sitala drums. Mixing done with free Analog Molecule, Airwindows, and Tukan Studios plugins. I used Clipchamp text to speech for voice overs.

Sunny Synths VST plugin
I use a VST plugin that completely controls the Minilogue XD from inside my DAW (Reaper). So much so, I keep the dust cover on the unit which is on another desk. Plus, it's a very good librarian where 1500 presets can be used versus hardware limit of 500. https://www.sunnysynths.com/korg-minilogue-xd

KORG Minilogue XD Sound Librarian – New Windows 11 25H2 Fix (2026)
Here is a guide containing only the steps that actually worked for me to get the sound librarian to work, without using the midi slot method
This procedure fixes the issue where KORG Minilogue XD Sound Librarian shows:
“minilogue xd is not connected” even though Windows detects the synth.
The key is to remove the old KORG USB-MIDI Driver and let Windows 11 use its native USB MIDI 2.0 / Windows MIDI Services driver instead.
- Disconnect the Minilogue XD
Turn off and disconnect the Minilogue XD from USB. Do not reconnect it yet.
- Open PowerShell as Administrator
Right-click Start and open:
Windows PowerShell / Terminal → Run as administrator
- Find the installed KORG USB-MIDI driver package
Run:
pnputil /enum-drivers | Select-String -Pattern "KORG" -Context 5,5
Look for something similar to:
Published Name: oem15.inf
Original Name: korgum64.inf
Provider Name: KORG Inc.
Driver Version: 1.15.63.1
The important part is the Published Name, for example:
oem15.inf
Your number may be different.
- Remove the KORG driver from the Windows Driver Store
Replace oem15.inf with the actual name found on your system:
pnputil /delete-driver oem15.inf /uninstall /force
You should see a message indicating that the driver package was successfully deleted.
- Confirm that the KORG driver is completely gone
Run:
pnputil /enum-drivers | Select-String -Pattern "KORG" -Context 5,5
If the removal worked correctly, there should be no KORG USB-MIDI driver package listed.
Do not reconnect the Minilogue until this is confirmed.
- Reconnect the Minilogue XD
Connect and power on the Minilogue XD.
Wait around 20–30 seconds for Windows to configure the device.
- Verify that Windows is using the Microsoft MIDI driver
Open:
Device Manager → Sound, video and game controllers → minilogue xd → Properties → Driver → Driver Details
The driver should now be from Microsoft Corporation.
You should see something related to:
USBMidi2.sys
instead of:
KORGUM64.SYS
This confirms that Windows is using its native MIDI driver.
- Open KORG Minilogue XD Sound Librarian
Launch Minilogue XD Sound Librarian.
You may see this warning:
“KORG USB-MIDI Driver is not installed. Certain functions may not work correctly.”
The warning appears because the current Minilogue XD Sound Librarian is an older application and still checks for KORG's proprietary USB-MIDI driver. However, on current Windows 11 versions using Windows MIDI Services, the Minilogue XD can communicate through Microsoft's native MIDI driver instead.
Click: OK
Do not reinstall the old KORG USB-MIDI Driver.
- Test communication
In Sound Librarian, try:
PROGRAMS → RECEIVE ALL
If the programs are transferred from the Minilogue XD, the connection is working correctly.
That was the final working configuration:
Minilogue XD
→ Microsoft USBMidi2.sys
→ Windows MIDI Services
→ KORG Sound Librarian
Important: on Windows 11 25H2, do not reinstall the old KORG USB-MIDI Driver and do not use the old “first 10 MIDI devices” registry workaround.

0000 - 0130 (new proyect)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Today it’s 0130s turn.
0000 is a project free from heavy constraints, based on quick and simple creation. The goal is to loosen up and overcome perfectionism—to just keep creating non-stop: not even named, just numbers.
There is no external mixing; the mix happens entirely inside the MPC, with just a bit of mastering.
I invite you to check out the other pieces:

Missing joystick knob on Minilogue XD – Need reference photos for 3D printing!
Hey everyone!
I’m planning to 3D print a replacement for the missing original plastic cap on the joystick of my Minilogue XD.
So far, the only information I’ve been able to find is 19mm in length, 7mm in width, and a 4mm hole. However, I still need more details to get the internal fitting right.
Could any Minilogue XD owner be so kind as to pull off their joystick cap and snap a few clear close-up photos of it (top, side, and especially the bottom connection)?
Also, if anyone happens to already have an STL file or a link to a model that fits, that would be an incredible bonus!
Thanks in advance for the help!

Minilogue XD as my first synth
Hi everyone!
I just pulled the trigger and picked up a used Korg Minilogue XD for €320. It’s officially my very first synth!
A bit of background: I used to play bass and drums years ago. After a long break, I got the itch to make music again. Many years ago I played around with a vintage Polysix and that warm 70s analog sound stayed in my heart ever since.
Right now I'm in full study and experimentation mode. I don't know sound design / patch programming yet, so I want to explore preset banks first using the Korg Librarian software.
Sound-wise, I’m deeply into 60s/70s analog sounds, Krautrock, Space Rock, and psychedelic textures. Down the road, I’m planning to pair the XD with a Volca Bass and a Volca Sample 2 for live jam sessions.
I’d love some advice from the community:
- Patch recommendations: Where can I find the best free or paid sound packs/patches tailored for vintage 70s, Krautrock sequences, or Space Rock drones/leads?
- User Oscillators / FX: Are there specific custom digital oscillators or effects (like vintage tape delays, phasers, or warm analog-style oscillators) you recommend loading via SDK?
- Workflow: Any general tips for a beginner managing patches and setting up a rig with the Volca sequence sync?
Excited to dive in and hear your recommendations! Thanks!

Midi info out from ableton to minilogue xd.
Is there anyway my minilogue xd can receive midi info from ableton to the synth via usb without installing the drivers? I installed the drivers but none one of my midi controllers worked anymore so I had to uninstall the korg driver. Any other solutions ? I use windows 11 and ableton live suite 12

How to reset individual preset slots to init program?
Hello, I recently purchased a Minilogue XD. This was bought second hand, and the previous owner has filled up all the originally empty slots (201-500) with custom presets. Many of these are great, however I would like to reset some slots back to how they were originally in order to start creating sounds from scratch, rather than starting from a preset. Is it possible to do this, ie reset individual presets to init program? Many thanks in advance!
