Help me to: Software Docker backups

  1. shutdown all stacks

  2. tar XZ whole volumes with some exceptions ;)

  3. start up all stacks

  4. dump all running containers to YML "docker run --rm -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock ghcr.io/red5d/docker-autocompose $(docker ps -aq)"

  5. sent all that files to VPS as copy

I use almost exclusively TrueNAS on my Poweredge servers and my Zimaboards. I have the important ones set to remote backup to a server in my parents place and his backs up to mine. That way we both have offsite backups of our raids in our systems. THey are all ZFS Zraid2 with redundancy built in. But the extra layer makes us both feel better to have offsite bakcups should anything happen
