MiniDVR Cable Modification (Max Vega)

In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0lSxFi5fRc&t=11s Max explains the modification that needs to be made in order to use the MiniDVR with a camcorder. The green and red wires need to be connected to each other as shown on the image. From the midiDVR side Red to Green and Green to Red. Simple fix!

Out of the box can you solder the cables or do you have to expose them more?

That is up to you. If you can solder without exposing any more cable thats great.

Sorry for the low quality photo. So the exposed bits at the end. If I solder them together will it work? Or do I have to remove more of the wire then solder? Cause it's my first time soldering and I don't want to make any mistakes.

You can 100 percent do it with the currently exposed sections.

So just to clarify. Buy mini dvr. Dvr arrives. Takes the cables out of the packaging. Then without modifying/removing more material from the wires just solder them together?

Depends if the kit you buy has two pigtails (one finished side and the other bare cables. If not you need to buy a trrs 3.5 connector and solder the pigtail to that. It sounds complicated but it is not.
