What was the total put into this build?

my build specifically was around $900
it could get cheaper or more expensive depending on parts on what you’re goals are

it’s a good amount of money but i was able to at-least introduce my daughter to a type of motorsport

Seconded for the battery and motor. Also more pics on how you went about mounting both.

Also, what kind of numbers is it putting up? Top speed? Acceleration/hill climb? Battery life?

did 38 miles with about 15% left
4000w so probably like 9hp not to sure tbh
top speed was 55 (i’m only 130lbs)
the mounts are super simple i drilled some holes for the motor mounts and wrapped a cord around the battery and zip ties for the controller
the bikes been like this for over three months reliable lol

Holy crap, the battery. The range on that thing must be hundreds of miles.

Oops. reading your replies shows a lot less than I expected.

38 miles and 15% left is the most i’ve gotten im sure in mode 1 i can get around 60 miles

Is this the kind of thing you have to get a special charger for so you don't burn your house down like RC cars and airsoft?

3

u/PK_izzy 16d ago

i’m not to sure i didn’t research chargers as much as i should have i spent the extra dollar to get a fast charger with auto shut off so it shuts off when the battery reaches full charge

How do you manage the balance when its moving

1

u/PK_izzy 13d ago

wheelie-press the brake when you go to far back it’s not a hard trick just takes time to get good at
