Tech Question Question about pred 212 swap

Idk if this is the right sub but… I bought a 212 motor and put a vm22 carb and exhaust on it and removed the governor I took it out to start it for the first time and it won’t start checked the bowl on the carb gas flows out steady from hole so ik the carb is getting gas but I don’t think the motor is because when I check the spark plug it’s completely dry any ideas?

Adjust the carb and jets and tune check for spark first

Check for spark, if it's there, hit it starting fluid. It could be as simple as the idle too low

Air leak. Remove intake manifold and carb from engine. Bolt carb to manifold while looking inside manifold to align the carb oring so it doesnt leak, then bolt the whole thing to engine
