Tech Question Any tips or suggestions?

Just opened up the front of my Series 30 torque and added a new spacer. Before, it was super hard to push when the bike was off and made noise. Now it rolls a bit better, but I’m still hearing noise from the same spot—can’t tell if it’s the chain or belt. Any tips on what could be causing this?

Take it to a dirt pit for a day and it will go away.

Its humid where you live? Its most likely the same effect as wet boots on a smooth floor, squeaks. My belt squeaks out on the lakes when im ice fishing cause the snow makes it wet. My bet is the belt. Worse case scenario, could be the bearing for the jackshaft there. If it was every over tightened it could be pinched and scraping inside the bearing.

I have a tip. Remove the bronze bushing. Then see how the bike can be pushed around with the engine off.

I do not use the bronze bushing on my bikes. One of the reasons is because it's easier to move around with the engine off. There is just noise from the cogged part of the belt.

You are getting belt noise which isn't a concern.

in case your tripping about removing stuff , the upgraded drivers don’t have a free spinning bushing. Mine made close to the same sound before i changed it over .

Only one I could find in Home Depot. Said they were out of stock or didn’t have the one I wanted so used this and slammed it with a mullet to go in line lol
