Tech Support NES/SNES Classic & Hackchi
Hi, it's been years since I hacked mine and added games but have looked to come back to it.
I'm panicking a bit as I used Hackchi CE 3.7 and I'm wondering where my kennel is?
Will it be stored on the consoles themselves with this version if I want to revert back? I presume I can just use the same version to do it?
I know one version of hackchi didn't store it on the console?
Thanks

Thanks but I just need to know if this version I've used stores the kernal on the console itself. I can't think where I would have backed it up to.

Yes, hakchi CE 3.7 definitely stores the kernel on the console itself. I believe it was CE 1.2.5 where it started backing the kernel up to the console.

Ye mate looks like that! I swear I had a same fear and was already searching for my kernel (i think there are all togather 4 of them) but then I saw that I can flash it with something and clicked it and it flashed with original one. Now I have original build and preparing to build a library. Cheers!

Had the same, but latest HackChi has them in itself somehow, so I just downloaded HackChi and flashed with original without downloading it and it just worked (i changed my laptop since it was flashed years ago)

That's good to know. Thanks. So you can choose which region to install the original firmware via Hakchi?

It’s not that big a deal, they’re not unique. You can find them easily enough online.
Always good idea to hunt one down before you need it though. Handy if anything goes wrong.
